I actually have LSU going 6-6.

You know, Bayside Gump... If you were to put up cash on that I'm sure you'd find a ton of takers on here. You could get rich!

Sounds like the writer is trying to be the LSU version of Finebaum.

Utah would have killed Ga Tech.

Did anyone ever expect LSU not to beat the living shite out of Ga Tech?

Alabama-Bama hasnt won in Ttown since 1999. The players want that moneky off their back

The what off of their back? You probably have a degree from Bama. A trademark Saban team will always lose one game they are supposed to win, Always have, always will.

I have been seeing this used as an excuse for Bama all offseason. "Players didn't care after getting knocked out of the national championship game" "Couldn't get up for playing a lowly team like Utah". To me, if a team can't get up for a bowl game, let alone a BCS bowl game, that is the sign of a shitty coach. I think Saban is a great coach, but if Bama fans want to use this argument, then it is not a good indicator of Saban's coaching prowess.
Very true. I would also note that when Miles' teams have been knocked out of the National Championship race, they still manage to win their bowl games. And even at times like the Arkansas game of '07, when they appeared to have just lost their shot at the National Championship, they still came back and beat Tennessee in the SECCG the very next week. Seems telling that Saban couldn't get his team over that hump with a month to prepare for the Sugar Bowl, but Miles could get his team over it in just 8 days.

Of course, like you I believe that Saban is too good of a coach for it to be something as simple as "the players didn't care/didn't try." I think it was patently obvious that Bama didn't have the talent to replace Andre Smith and didn't have the coaching to compensate when Utah exploited it.

Bama and LSU are both primed to battle it out for the SEC West for the next 5-10 years without something dramatic happening. You can't prove otherwise.
So what? Anything that can't be proven shouldn't be speculated? And yet you insist that LSU and Bama are primed to battle it out for the West for the next 5-10 years? Talk about "can't be proven"! Hell, it can't even be proven that Saban can even stay anywhere for more than 5 years!

I don't know what color glasses you are wearing, but if they make you see LSU and Bama battling it out for 5-10 years as a sure bet and Bama struggling next year as a pipe dream, then it sounds like the color is "crazy".

What do LaTECH and UL-Monroe have in common? They're both undefeated against Alabama. 3-0

well let's say I trust Saban running a d more than I do Malveto
Yeah . . . and we trusted Saban to run a D in 2002, too. That worked out so well against Va. Tech, Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, etc.

Yes. Many (perhaps most) on this board who were laughing and ridiculing the "idiot homers" who were predicting an LSU blowout.

Of course, now those same posters seem to have known all along that the LSU blowout was "obvious."
