A 1 loss LSU has a strong chance.

If we are undefeated and go the SECCG and lose a close game to Florida, I think we make the playoff

No, and Herbstreit's latest playoff prediction deals with this scenario: Bama is our only loss and we get in without winning the SEC.

No chance. There will be nonstop braying about one loss ND or Stanford, perhaps an undefeated Clemson or FSU, Maybe Memphis or Temple as a group of five contender. A late loss would be disastrous for LSU's chances.

We have a good chance being a 1 loss team. Don't let these morons tell you different... Past years have proven it

No so fast my friend. Baylor/TCU winner, OSU are in based on not playing anybody. Body of work could get a one loss Tiger team in. No way Houston or Memphis get in

Probably..
Unless we're 1 loss SEC champs.

If Utah doesn't lose that pretty much kills any chance for an at-large bid for any team that didn't win their conference.

If all of the unbeaten teams except for OSU and TCU (or Baylor) have one loss at the end of the season then they could possibly pick a 1 loss LSU team over a 1 loss ACC conference champ.
But it would take some 2007-esque luck.

No way any SEC team is getting in without winning the conference. Florida, LSU or Bama.

You are right. My fault. SEC, ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12 are most likely.

No

anything could happen this year in terms of teams making the playoff and who is in who isn't.

I think we can put our money on one thing. If there is a 0 or 1 loss SEC champ team they will be in the playoff. Even in the case where Florida who may have 2 or 3 losses but wins the Conference championship wins, a one loss SEC team gets in ahead of them.

I could see this scenario happen.

LSU losses to Bama, Bama loses to Florida, but Florida suffers at-least 1 more loss this season but still wins their division. LSU's only loss is to BAma on the Road, Bama has two losses to Florida and Ole Miss. LSU has a more impressive resume, they get in. Personally I don't see a situation where all SEC teams are left out, I could see a situation where a 2 loss SEC team gets in over a 1 loss Big 12 team.

There is a lot of football to be played, we should push to win the rest of our games, but one loss won't knock us out of the race.

Ok then. Win 'em all.

Debate over.

Well what evidence do you have that a one loss SEC team is going to get in without winning the conference?

Win the SEC with 1 loss, and we should be fine. It looks like we have to beat Bama to be in that position, though.

But does the cancelation bite us in the butt here? One lost plus one less game?
