20 years.Sure we have some 8 and 5 years but for the most part LSU has been consistent. Not many teams can say this even in the mighty Sec. I believe Ed O has LSU poised to break into the top 10 all-time wins in the next few years and bringing in elite talent that will be completing for National championships as well. If you were born in 2000 you have never seen LSU have a losing season that's crazy.Wow what a glorious time to be a LSU tiger fan.

LSU and Oklahoma are the only D1 teams in the country who have won at least 8 games a year for 20 years.

Tack that on to 3 National championships and playing in 4 and LSU is one of the most relevant teams of this generation.

With proper strong AD and institutional commitment, LSU should be a playoff contender for the foreseeable future. Recuit elite, good coaching, facilities, and money are all there. LSU should be up there with Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State.

going to take longer than a “few” years for us to break the top 10.

we’re 19 behind UGA for 11th place.
they just aren’t going to lose often enough for us to gain significant ground.

we’re 34 games behind Tennessee for 10th place.
while they definitely lose more often than UGA, they win often enough that it’ll probably take us close to a decade or so to catch them.

Up until 2019 I was a little worried the “Golden Era” of Tiger football 2001-2011 was completely in the review. You never know how long a lull can last for a program no matter how good of run and support you have.

Glad to know with O and Woody the future is as bright as ever.

No other team in cfb has had the 20 year run that LSU has had. We have been very good for the past 20 years despite coaching changes and adversity. LSU is never going to have a losing season in my lifetime I don't believe. It just isn't possible with the way we recruit and the talent we have on top of the resources and support. We should never have a losing season at LSU...never. barring NCAA sanctions of course, but we don't need to cheat to be successful either.

What do you mean ALMOST 20 years???

2000-2019 season IS 20 years all with at least 8 wins and bowl appearance.

Michigan
Bama
USC
Notre Dame
tOSU
Texas
Penn St
Nebraska
Florida St

...almost no other ‘elite’ school can make this same claim currently.

Here’s the kicker......No other team in the last 20 years has won National Titles with 3 consecutive Head Coaches......

That lets you know where the program is....

20 years.

3 National Championships in that time.

My freshman year was 1999. Never could I have imagined what was yet to come.

It was a painful near full decade, but 2019 more than makes up for the pain of 2011 (for me at least... I can’t speak for all)

How true... certainly says much more about the program than the coach.

2019 was the pinnacle of this Golden Age of LSU Football. Growing up I saw some lean years under Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo. I remember it being a big deal when LSU beat Notre Dame in the Independence Bowl.

And now here we are three National Championships and five SEC Championships later coming off of the greatest single season in college football history. It's a great time to be a Tiger fan.

Not only has LSU won 8 or more game a year - every year, since 2000, but we have had a winning season and gone to a bowl game in TWENTY THREE OF THE LAST TWENTY FIVE SEASONS, which NO PROGRAM can say.
Add to that the only program (recently) to have three consecutive national championship-winning coaches, the second-most national championships in the last 25 years, and all of last year's records, honors, awards, achievements, points scored, etc.
In the last 25 years, LSU has had at least 13 double-digit win seasons, and won at least 16 bowl games....

-If you were born in 2000 you have never seen LSU have a losing season-

You also were too young to appreciate 2003 and 2007. You were 12 for the 2012 debacle and didn't see daylight again till 2020. You were in limbo your entire childhood.
Also, if you never lose, you won't appreciate winning as much.
