There were several people who wanted Rhoades to get the vcu Jon instead of Wade anyway. Older more experienced,had been in the area awhile up at Randolph Macon as well and wasn't thought that he was gonna jump ship.
So I'm sure people are excited about vcu hire.

I have said that I hoped we hired a young coach who would see this as an opportunity to build a consistent program. Of course, I watched his team play a few times and only know mostly what I have read on the guy, but I like it.
He seems like a guy who can utilize the talent he has and maybe that will work in Louisiana. We might not produce a lot of high ranked recruits, but there is enough talent in this state alone.
