Angel Reese is cashing in on LSU basketball’s success.

The star transfer has more NIL deals than any other player in college basketball with 17, per a new report from SponsorUnited, followed by Miami’s Haley and Hanna Cavinder with 16.

Women’s basketball NIL deals increased by 186% this season compared to last season, while men’s basketball deals increased by 67%. SponsorUnited analyzed data from the October 1, 2022, through March 1, 2023, to create its report.

Reese credited LSU’s robust NIL program as one of the reasons she chose the school once she hit the transfer market in the offseason.

“When I came here on my visit, they had their own NIL program, and that was just something that have never seen before, where they can help me brand myself, help me with taxes, things you really don’t learn in school,” she said on a recent episode of the Outta Pocket podcast.

So number of deals is better than the value of those deals?

Is this that new math?

You want ‘Coach’ handbags (Angel) and ‘Vuori’ women’s jogging apparel (Livvy) to switch to football players?

Because it's not "our" money. It's companies and business' money.

Why is this so hard for so many people to understand.

Are you under the impression these women are getting paid NIL money by lsu directly? This has nothing to do with football.

Apparently. I work with a lady whose son has an NIL deal with Pluckers. She said he just gets free food there. No telling how much money all the deals are actually worth, but looking at so many random names in that top 10 with zero high profile football/bball players, I'm guessing those deals aren't worth all that much

There is no LSU filter.

Companies give direct to athlete.

This is not socialism…..yet.

It’s all the article mentions about the deals so it’s implied. Duh.

The study/report is on trends, growth, and overall reach.

This isn’t about alumni NIL. This is companies cashing in on an athletes social media presence.

Or that's all the data they have so the study was done on number of deals alone?
