I watched the 1st Half. Glad we won it! It would be great if our girls can dominate in the
Super 6 this year.

Credit also to Erin Macadaeg, she got thrown onto vault at the last second and scored a 9.900 after having some early season struggles, and she had a great beam routine with a 9.925.

Gnat is always impressive so it never surprises me. Glad to see her have a great meet.

These freshmen looked fantastic tonight. Future is definitely bright

I am sure it was extra sweet for her growing up in Orlando and not being recruited by Florida!

I watched. How did Florida come close? The fell off the never bars, they stepped out on the floor and they fell on the balance beam. LSU did none of these. It shouldn't have been as close as it was.

The same way Georgia beat both LSU and Florida...home cooking by the judges. That's the Achilles Heel with gymnastics. It's why road wins are so tough.

Edit: darn phone.

The scores for the falls ans out of bounds did not count because each team drops the low score on each apparatus. So 6 girls compete, top 5 scores count. That's not home cooking.
Either way, our girls earned that incredible win.

This......I saw maybe a small touch of home cooking, but I think the judging was pretty fair overall.... It was really more a factor of only having to drop that one bad score and everybody else for Florida hitting when they did not home cooking

I also thought that the scoring overall at Florida was a little more forgiving, than we see at LSU... both teams scored higher than I think they would've in the PMAC, that's why the judging is so objective

I trust we're not going to argue over whether home cooking exists in gymnastics. Because it does, the sport is infamous for it.

Almost as bad as ice skating in that regard.

Fantastic. Will be at the PMAC this Friday against ole arch nemesis Bama. Way to go Gym Tigresses and to D.D. Breaux and the entire LSU gymnastic team and coaches.

I do have a serious question though.

Does anyone know why Ashleigh has been out of the bars lineup?

Is it just inconsistency or scoring potential of other girls routines...just wasn't sure?

With the way she's hitting everything else it would be nice if she could get back in the All Around.

I think it's scoring potential...which frankly is a good thing to have such depth on bars...all the events really...the program has really improved in recent years in that respect...recruiting!

But I do hate that Gnat isn't competing AA for selfish reasons...
