has been followed by a bunch of "but's" by the national media. Lets not bury the lead over the media's faux outrage...."LSU got a great coach"! We heard all the stuff about hiring the "crazy uncle" in Les Miles to "the bayou runs thru his blood" in O. I don't remember one time, for either hires, the media leading with "LSU got a great coach". The next 5 years will re-align the SEC pecking order and I believe we got the guy that can make us elite again. Time will tell.

It’s the double standard that really exposes them. LR to USC is a great hire done the right way. BK to LSU is what is wrong with college football.

So recruiting for USC during the season before LR is officially hired is the right way?

I honestly don't get the double speak with Riley and Kelly. Riley bitched out way worse, and they are sucking his dick right after shitting all over Kelly. It makes zero sense in context. Beyond the "ESPN hates LSU" silliness, what is that about?

I agree it was a good hire, I was still a little surprised by it.

They are all pissed that he bailed when ND can make the playoffs. If ND had no shot at the playoffs this would be a non issue.

If Kelly had gone to USC under the exact same circumstances, and LR went to LSU under the exact same circumstances, I wonder how much different the media narrative would be. I doubt there would be any difference, although USC may have taken a little hit because they hired the ND coach, no one would be using it as an example of what is wrong in college football. Dick Vitale, Rece Davis, and several others would still be finding ways to take a shot at LSU.

We need to trust Kelly's process and let the winning do the speaking for us.

I understand your frustration, but you have to realize that LSU committed the unforgivable sin of hiring the coach of the "storied" Notre Dame fighting Irish.

This will all be forgotten next fall when LSU is making mincemeat out of the SEC west.
