If I'm the head football coach at Louisiana State University, the first rule I implement from day one is that all players are strictly forbidden from going anywhere near the property line of a bar or nightclub from the start of pre-season practice until the end of the season. Break that rule and get caught, then you're off the team permanently with no second chances. That would stop all this shite. Miles apparently doesn't have this rule, which is just another chink in his armor. No reason for college football players to be at a bar during the season.

wbrz just reported that witnesses say JJ kick the marine in the head while he was down.

What a tool bag. Jj really showed his leadership here by beating a man while he's down allegedly, and a service man (marine) at that... Punk arse if this is true

Not to mention, you have people who said they saw what happened. Does that mean they heard words that were more than likely exchanged before the fight?

I might be naive and maybe this is all on the players, but I personally believe something was said that caused the whole thing to go down.

I just cant see where a guy is leaving the bar and all of a sudden THAT ONE GUY cant get out of the parking lot because players are blocking him in.

And I am saying this without reading everything from page 99 to the current page.

if Lowery is getting a lawyer I predict this happens:

1. LSU pays him money
2. Lowery signs confidentiality agreement
3. Players suffer consequences in house

Actually that is how he wound up at LSU and not A & M.

I've heard that story, too, re: the choice the judge gave him. Only I heard he was going to Ole Miss, not A&M.

One player got a couple licks fed to him, and you can see it physically on his body. Supposedly he tried to ice it down after the left the scene, and he said, "I cannot go to practice (meetings) tomorrow and have coach see me with this."

Players were extremely worried in the immediate aftermath.

seriously, would anyone be that mad if JJ was suspended for the Oregon game?

Mr. "eat the used corn from JJ's large intestine wall" Choctaw would.

Was the guy dressed in uniform? If not, do you think ANYONE in the middle of a fight stops and says "maybe I should just let this guy beat me up because he might be a marine".

How is he going to prove any specific person was involved when he has no physical evidence like video? Dude got his pride hurt, now he wants to see the world burn.

meh...i was in the Navy and have been in my fair share of fights with Marines. Color me not scared

I get that.

And the Marines aren't going to come on TD and start kicking asses.

But nationally speaking, people are going to be a lot more empathetic with the Marines than they are with LSU football players.

And here on TD, posters are going to be a lot more empathetic with LSU football players than they are with any Marine.

It is what it is.

And if he was in uniform, he is a tool for heading out to the nightclubs in attire.

I'm gonna bet money he was in civilian clothes
