Hate to be the guy who says I can't wait until 2011, but if PP stays his Sr year, WOW that team should be dominant.

Was our best end at the end of the season last year. I think he's good now and could be very special.

another year of levingston starting is sickening.

pp is probably gonna be a top 10 pick in next year's draft, no way he's back. when he signed with us back at the army game he even said lsu was where he wanted to spend the next 3 years of his life.

RE: WR
I think Boone gets PT at WR this year. It may not be much more PT than R.J. Jackson or RR got last year or J. Mitchel got as a freshman, but I think he sees the field. Wright has a chance, but I just think Boone gets it over Wright.

RE: OT

Is it official that Josh Dworaczyk is going to play tackle? I think it will be:
LT - Joseph Barksdale (Sr.)
Chris Faulk (Fr.)
LG - Will Blackwell (Jr.)
Josh Williford (Fr.)
C - P.J. Lonergan (So.)
T-Bob Hebert (Jr.)
RG - Josh Dworaczyk (Jr.)
Alex Hurst (So.)
RT - Chris Faulk (Fr.)
Evan Washington (Fr.)

RE: DT
Has anyone heard how bad Down's injury is? I can't beleive he would be that far down even with an injury by the time fall rolls around.

RE: Safety

Didn't Hatcher play over Loston last year? (Even when Loston wasn't hurt?
And as for J. Eugene, I see him coming in as that Danny McCray type rover in a 4-3-5 defense.

IMO/IMHO

I'm hoping that he is so good nobody throws to his side of the field. That way he won't have a lot of tackles, pass break ups, or picks.

I know very slim chance he stays, but here is to PP.

4 + 3 + 5 =

sorry, had to do it. Mostly because I hate seeing McCray's name brought up.

from what ive heard...at this point...the starting safeties are Taylor and Eugene...apparently as outstanding of an athlete as Loston is, he has trouble in deep coverage and footwork causing him to get burnt on the long ball from time to time...i trust cooper and co. to make the right decision with our secondary, and if that means loston needs more time to mature and grow as a player then we'll have to live with that

No there is still a good chance Josh Dworaczyk could play guard and Evan washington or Faulk could be at tackle

I know its already been said but it needs to be emphasized. Absolutely he is. He was the best end on the team last year. Go look at his production compared to the others in probably a third of the snaps.

there are three guys on the oline that pretty much have a secure spot..Barks,Dwo, and Hurst..

Where they end up for sure I do not know, I do know that Miles has always thought high of Dwo and has mentioned Hurst many many times..Hurst actually worked with the 1st team at guard Monday, and Tackle on Tuesday..

I think it will end up:

LT-Barks
LG-Williford
C-T-Bob
RG-Hurst
RT-Dwo

shouldn't chris faulk be starting somewhere on the o-line?

How would anyone be able to answer that? What info would we use...unless we were the coaches?

is ken adams really better than montgomery and mingo?

Again...How does anyone answer that? Miles really really likes Adams...but none of the 3 players have played any D1 football. Hell...Mingo was a LB in HS. So he's also learning a new position.

Did you watch LSU this past season? He was way better than any other DE we had...waaaay better.

is josh downs really the worst dt on the team?

pretty doubtfull..seeing how much playing time he got this past year in front of other DTs on our team.

If Les wants to run the fb, tbob is too small to handle dominant nose tackles....for those who don't know that Edwards was impressive at DE, they ought to quit cluttering this board

watch out for Brad Wing. He could be the starting punter by the start of the season.

Skill positions are sick.

Offensive Line is gonna be terrible.

Good luck to Jefferson having time to get the ball to the playmakers....hes gonna need it.
