Been working on a video for awhile on last year's Florida game and just finished. I did something similar with the 2019 Bama game. A certain Baton Rouge radio host made a Rocky 4 reference when talking about it, so I ran with that. Hope you like it.

LINK

It's about 17 and a half minutes long, so if you're interested you might save it to watch later.

Thanks, fellas.

Nice vid bro!

What a game. You know, everyone talks about the shoe, but all Mullen had to do was kick a field goal on the first drive, and run out the clock before half with 14 seconds left, two things that most normal experience head coaches might have done playing at home, and they win that game.

Mullen coaches football like a teenager playing Xbox.

You need to get Joey Galloways reaction after the game in studio!

Feel free to share.

I didn’t want it to be just a “dunk on Florida” video—tried to show them some respect. Toney was a beast.

That is armchair coaching with benefit of hindsight in the highest order. You have to judge decisions at the time they happened. Not after knowing the ultimate result.

1. It was the opening drive of the game. UF had the ball on LSU's 1 yard line against a defense who had been mostly awful all season. The decision to go for it there rather than kick the FG from the one was MORE than reasonable. Especially on the opening drive of the game. Credit LSU's defense for making a big goal-line stand there, but the decision was fine.

2. It is 21-17 LSU with Florida having the ball at their own 25 with 0:24 to go and two TO's. UF has one of the best offenses in the SEC going against one of the worst defenses in the SEC. A defense that UF had driven on the last 3 possessions. Plus, LSU was going to get the ball to start the 2nd half. The first play of the drive UF picks up 17 to the LSU 42. With roughly 17 seconds left and a good long-rang FG kicker it was an EASY decision in that scenario to try to get into FG range. The odds are low that bad defense is going to make a big play there. But that is EXACTLY what LSU did. Thornton beat his man and made a great play to strip the ball.

Of course UF would love to have had that net 6 points back considering they ultimately lost by 3. But both decision were more than reasonable at the time they were made. In fact, I'm CERTAIN LSU fans would have been screaming for the EXACT same decisions if the shoe were on the other foot. The bottom line is that LSU's defense made two huge low-percentage plays that ultimately had a big role in the outcome of the game. The decisions were fine. LSU's play was just better in both cases

We forget about it because of the result, but the reality is LSU completely fricked up the clock management in that final minute. They had the ball 1st & 10 at the Florida 40 with just over one minute to go and two TO's left.

They then proceeded to gain two yards...waste both TO's BEFORE 3rd down... to ultimately settle for FIFTY-SEVEN yard FG, in the fog. One, that would have been kicked in a rushed scenario with the kicking team scrambling to get on the field but for the fact Florida called a TO to allow LSU time to get organized without rushing.

From the time LSU reached the Florida 40 they did virtually all they could to make it as hard as possible on themselves to win the game. York just drilled one of the most clutch kicks in LSU history to make everyone forget about that debacle

I'm usually very critical of highlight videos, because more often than not it's a bunch of middle age dudes pining for the bonstonker days (don't get me wrong, I loved those vids) and they try their hand and put together some really off putting footage to ac/dc or zeppelin or something.

But this was extremely good. As in, if there was one of these put together for every game of the 2019 season in HD, I'd pay a couple hundred bucks just to relive or if I have ever have kids, show them.

Seriously impressive.

I want to do more for 2019–Texas, Clemson, etc, and maybe some from years past—UF 2007 perhaps.

Thanks!

One hell of a job. I’m a pretty harsh critic in general, but to the untrained eye that editing was a damn fine piece of work to me. There are a few drives that could be maybe whittled down to make it shorter, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole damn thing. Only thing I expected was some post-game commentary. Especially is there is any of Galloway eating crow. Does that exist?
