I think they're probably concentrated more around the tourist areas. I live in Seattle and haven't seen any tiger fans either, but that's because I don't make daily trips to pike place or the space needle....

I live in Olympia, but was in Seattle last night for the 'Hawks game. I saw a few at the game, a couple at Sluggers, and pack of five or six of them in Pioneer Square giving the "tiger bait, tiger bait" chant to all the people walking by wearing their Husky gear.

The Seattle folks have been completely caught off guard by "all of these people wearing purple and yellow."

Pikes Place Market was packed with LSU fans. They were all around the rest of downtown too. Most of the locals seem confused as to why so many people would travel to watch football. Most of the UW fans we've met aren't even going to the game.

We really are taking over this city and I love it. Can't wait until we take over their stadium too.

Yeah, I'm sure they're all over in those areas. I just find it mildly amusing that they're going on and on about how they've taken over Seattle, yet I haven't seen any of them or heard anyone talking about them other than on this site

Yea, they have a good turn-out, but they're definitely blowing it a bit out of proportion saying "we can't believe what we're seeing". OSU and Oklahoma had about the same number of fans as well.

oh I have no doubt that we will, but you guys are making it seem like what is happening has never even come close to happening before. It sounds like you guys will turn up in very good numbers, probably more than OSU and Oklahoma, but not that much more. That said, it is still very impressive how well your fans are traveling considering the distance and the current economy

At least a dozen times today I heard a local say "they're everywhere". We are rocking this town. 2 flavors of beer tapped out at Frontier again, and they say that never happens. And Dad wasn't here to help tonight....

Its freaking Iowa, thats why. What else do they having going on? My sister went to graduate school in Nebraska (basicly a clone if Iowa) and all they have is corn. They even freaking talk about corn, its pathetic.

So I guess that confirms that LSU fans have less interest in their team than Iowans do in their mighty Hawkeyes who have a long storied history of football dominance?

honestly i am just trying to rationalize it. there are reasons for both. personally christmas time is more about family at home. labor day weekend is about getting out.

but to each his own.

I hear ya. I guess LSU fans like to do the unexpected maybe. I am thrilled by all of the support that they are showing in Seattle. I would just love to see that kind of support continue when the team needs the support, like in the Cap One Bowl here in Orlando in '04. It still bothers me to this day to think of how I had to try to excuse the fact that we were badly outnumbered by IOWA fans in Orlando in a very presitgious bowl game, unarguably the best one outside the BCS to my friends who were just as mystified by the lack of support from our supposedly rabid fan base. But hey, again, I'm very happy for what we are seeing in Seattle, I think its awesome. Tiger fans just seem to want to keep them guessing.

Yea the second largest oil refinery in the U.S. only needs cleaning. It's completely automated. It just needs a janitorial service and that's it.
