Also, I would rather play Clemson in Atlanta. We were in the Cotton Bowl two seasons ago. I'd like a change of venue.

We were in Atlanta last year.

UGA is 1-2 vs good teams this year. How is their close loss to Bama more deserving than ours? They deserve nothing.

We beat two teams that have the same record as us and will be slotted ahead of us.

We should have lost the seccg on purpose last year. We would have won the bcsnc.

They would have dropped us completely out of consideration. Guaranteed.

It's fricking simple: LSU gains dominance by beating the frickhole out of other teams, not by chickenshit off-field bullshite.

END.

This. Alleva is going to regret not sticking up for LSU. The university will lose money because ticket sales for this game will be terrible. I will be very surprised if we sell more than half of our ticket allotment.

I love the Tigers, but it's ridiculous that a 5 loss Wisconsin team gets a BCS bowl bid and a 10-2 LSU team ranked in the top 10 gets stuck with a 3rd tier bowl game. I'm not buying tickets to this game.

I am going to either bowl, but frankly I would rather go to Atlanta. Maybe Cotton Bowl is "better" bowl, but I would rather play Clemson in Atlanta.

This is perfect because I'm still boycotting Chick-fil-A for its stance on gay marriage.

Slive doesn't give a shite about LSU. He has to worry about keeping the Gumps happy.

Atlanta and the Georgia Dome setup is more fun than Arlington, TX, IMO...However, this is not right...

I don't know about boycott, but I do think that there will be a lot less excitement for LSU fans with the Chicken Bowl and thus less ticket sales in both Arlington and Atlanta if that comes to be.

If the SEC feels that tradeoff is worth Johnny Football in the CapOne than it's a business decision.

As for this being a Saban/Bama conspiracy, y'all do know that UGA is a much bigger threat to Bama recruiting than LSU. Why would they want to make UGA look better????

Honestly I agree with you guys. Texas - Lsu just doesn't do it for me. Lsu- Clemson does. I mean the cotton bowl isn't that much greater than the ckick bowl. We finish the season 11-2 with a win over Clemson is > then 11-2 with win over Texas. IMO

I say we raise the stakes.

LSU vs. Clemson in the Chicken Bowl, and the loser can never refer to their stadium as "Death Valley" again.

You'd rather play a much less prestigious program in a much less appealing venue? Hell, I even like the Cotton Bowl trophy more

Also add in a worse time slot on new years eve. WOOHOO playing the second fiddle team in south carolina on new years eve that's something to get pumped up for.
