also, here learn some history on the team you root for
If you are using the excuse of history to fly a purple and gold confederate flag you are defeating your purpose. The louisiana Tigers Confederate flag was not purple and gold. That came from our Mardi Gras Tradition. The flag that was used is right here.

Go to the second to last one. What do those colors look like. I think it is another team named the rebels. The name 'Tigers' was in reference to their fighting spirit. The flag in purple and gold is a relic that has nothing to do with our tradition of the "Fighting Tigers" any more than waving an Ole Miss flag.

Yes, LSU fans, lets all pretend like we are all in church - or at the ballet. That'll show em and it will further solidify Tiger Stadiums place as an intimidating place to play
well played
i also think we should ALL rais our hands before talking and ONLY golf claps are allowed....and absolutely no noise while a snap count is being made

so youre mad because I don't want the LSU fanbase to look like retards on national tv?
wow...
go live in your ignorance.
It is ignorant to think that flying the Confederate flag is a de facto endorsement of slavery. Just because people 40 years ago chose that as their symbol has nothing at all to do with the use of that symbol today.
Take the US flag as an example. Didn't the US essentially endorse slavery in 1830? Didn't the US engage in barbaric treatment of native populations (e.g. American Indian) throughout the 19th century?
But I'll bet lots of people who wear that flag on their uniforms in Iraq are *not* endorsing those sentiments.
Yes, symbols do change. And if a bunch of people think the Confederate flag endorses slavery today, they can :asskisser:
"Looking like retards on national TV" is as much on their preconceptions as anything else.
