I left at halftime cause I really don't give a frick about what you think or how the Tigers ended the game.

I also burned a $100 bill and an autographed Hester picture on the way out.

cry me a fricking river.

I left when Moreno broke that long TD run in the 3rd quarter. I pay for my season tickets, I can do whatever the frick I want. Get over it fan police, if you don't like it, turn your station.

only? we are one of only 4 teams in division 1 football with 8 home games

Yeah, I know. You missed my point, which was that it's still only 7 or 8 days out of the year that LSU fans get to sit in Tiger Stadium and watch LSU play football. You'd think our fans could at least make it thru a game vs. the #7 team in the country. Which, obtw, wasn't exactly a blow-out.

Yeah, you're right. All of you who say that is 100% right. But what I saw Saturday night shows me that we ARE NOT the best fanbase in the country. Nowhere near it. We have a shite ton of bandwagon fans. And when things are good we can be loud and a force to be reckoned with. But as soon as it gets a little rough too many leave and turn their back. So yes, you absolutely have the right to be a bandwagon fan. Good for you. At least you admit it, I suppose.

No excuse for it, were a 4th down conversion away from being down 7, and we COULD OF came back. I never gave up, and after the game and being taunted by GEorgia fans, (that pic on page 2, thats where I was, est upper) Was a shitty place to sit considering there fans were complete dicks, but I never left and was into the game until the clock hit 00:00

Seems to me the only ones bitching about people leaving and the ones at home on thier asses watching on TV..

Probably the same people that bitch when you ask them for face value for a ticket to the North Texas game.

You think LSU fans stayed till the end during all those blowouts in the 90s? I remember Miami destroying us at home and not more than a handful of fans stayed.
It was way more than a handful. And that was 44-3. Georgia never got anywhere close to 40 points ahead of us on Saturday. I get your point that people have always left early, but there is no doubt that people's patience and desire to stay until the end was more consistent in the past.

True, but being a season ticket holder doesn't give you the right to be above criticism for leaving when you damn well please. Your post would have a point if people were advocating barring the exits shut until the end of regulation.

Do you really think anyone can dictate when people choose to exit from an event they paid to see?
Non sequitur much?

No one is talking about dictating anything. We're just talking about how much they suck for leaving so early. I, personally, know that if paid for a ticket to an event that only happened 7 or 8 times a year, and left early to go sit in traffic or drink beer from a cooler or sit in a bar or do any one of the millions of other things I can do basically anytime I want year 'round, I'd feel like an idiot.

Likewise, I find people who feel like an extra 45 minutes sitting around doing whatever they do for the other 8700+ hours of the year is worth more than the 45 minutes spent doing what they only have the opportunity to do about 28-32 hours of the year equally idiotic.

And that's before you even address the notion of calling themselves "fans" or "supporters", and then turning around and arguing that they are justified in leaving because they are not being entertained. I mean, I've left movies and shows early because they sucked and weren't fun. But I'd never call myself a "fan" or "supporter" of them.

The thing I think is fricked up is, I remember how there was no buzz like the 2003 UGA game or like the Florida game from last year. It was like we were playing another run of the mill team. Fans can be pumped as they want, but when the team plays like shite and lays an egg like they did saturday, I don't blame one person for leaving early. I had shite to do, that I would much rather spend my time doing than watch LSU get butt fricked at home.

That being said, am I the only one who was embarrased by so many LSU fans leaving Tiger Stadium early on Saturday? That was ridiculous.

It has to do with the fan base now being comprised of yuppie puppies, corporate groups and other fat cat types instead of families who plan their entire weekend around coming to the game.
The game is now beyond the financial reach of those folks. Now it's all about coming to the game to be seen at the game instead of seeing the game. Most people get there late and leave early if LSU is winning or losing. It makes no difference to people and that is sad. I have had season tickets since 1962 when I got out of the army and moved to back to New Orleans to start my firm. I have watched as the families were squeezed out starting in the early 80s. By the mid to late 90s, they were all but gone. Replaced by a bunch of assholes who claim that they are better fans because they could afford the tickets. Fact is, they aren't and never will be. Hell, I can afford to keep my tickets that since 1973 have been on the 48 yd line and I can tell you that the people around me have changed completely in the last 15 years. They show up, hardly yell at all and cop an attitude when I or my kids/grandkids who usually use the tickets yell for the Tigers. Sad, really sad.

what if there is more to do with your life than LSU football???

im happy that some of you go to every game and stay til the bitter end, but man, there really could be more important things going on in peoples lives than staying until the bitter end

one of those was go chill with friends somewhere where i could drink and relax (cause tailgating early after staying up late really takes the life out of you) and i wanted to get some sleep so i could wake up and go hunting..

not everyone's lives revolve around lsu football (lsu sports)

sorry
