They don’t have to be they choose to be too 5 though as you are unfamiliar with fandom from other teams who do the same shite.

I can kind of understand someone wanting to throw in the towel when we’re down 7 in the 8th. I kept watching but I wasn’t exactly hopeful

As an expert in the field of "defeat" I acknowledge your opinion.
As ignorant.

Do you have definitive knowledge that LSU fans are any different in this way than any other fan base?

The defeatist spirit of the LSU fan base is so tiresome. Ignorance of the actual sport and a completely unrealistic set of expectations coupled with some inferiority complex and you get the worst fan in sports.
The worst part is that they will do it again.
If it's tiresome then go find a board that lifts you in a positive way. Why are you out here if it makes you tired? This board is for fans which happens to be an abbreviation of fanatics. This means that you get a volatile bunch of people who ride the highs and come unglued at the lows. That's what a fan does. So either get accustomed to it or move on and find a better place that brings you peace.
To suggest that this is an ignorant fan base is just plain insult. What you witnessed is a sampling of fanatics posting on this board who were absolutely frustrated by what they saw. We all had the expectation that LSU would be competitive or dominant against Kennesaw State. They aren't Vandy or UT. So yes, the Owls came out and reminded all of us that anything can happen in baseball and you better not take anyone lightly especially in the post season. Sports are played and watched by humans who have emotions and those can swing you in many different directions. Being frustrated by a dominant performance by a smaller school and seeing your team down 11-4 after 8 1/2 innings of play doesn't display ignorance. It's called being a fan. I was frustrated as well and I turned it off to go to dinner with my family because I just didn't see a level of energy or play that I thought was going to win the game. I was wrong. But I'm also a fan and a person. I get a lot of things wrong.
Your suggestion that we have unrealistic expectations, a defeatist spirit or some sort of inferiority complex just expresses your ignorance about LSU fans or fans in general. Fanatics are emotional. That's all. We get caught up in the moment and we express those emotions. Often in not really productive ways, but that's the nature of a fan. So if you think that this is an exclusive trait of LSU fans then you need to spend more time with different fan bases around the country. I promise you this sort of characteristic is alive and well all over the world. But you don't like LSU fans so you apply this "worst" concept to us.
Which brings me all the way back to the beginning. If you don't like LSU fans and our reactions are tiresome, then why are you here?

How many times has a team down 7 runs in the 8th in a playoff come back to win? Asking for a friend.
