lsu fans amuse me

to listen to lsu fans one would think that they are the greatest team to ever take the football field and the thought of a 10-2 season is just plain unacceptable and the whole coaching staff should be fired. i hate to be a buzz kill here but here are the facts. lsu has not been relevant in college football (except 58) prior to 2003. you wallowed in mediocrity just like another 100 or so teams did. saban done a great job in 2003 but other than that you have been a very solid football team but hardly as great as you think you are.
let's look at your past decade:
2000-unranked,went 8-4 (5-3) finish #22
2001-unranked went 10-3 (5-3) finish #7
2002-unranked went 8-5 (5-3) finish unranked
2003-#15 went 13-1 (8-1) finish #1
2004-#3 went 9-4 (6-2)finish #16
2005-unranked went 11-2 (7-2)lost to uga seccg finish #6
2006-#9 went 11-2 (6-2) finish #3
2007-#2 went 12-2 (6-2) finish #1
2008-#6 went 8-5 (3-5) finish unranked
2009-#11 went 9-4 (5-3) finish #17
2010-#6 went 10-2 (6-2) currently #12
Not a single undefeated season or conference. this year you lucked your way into 10 wins. 2007 you backed your way into the championship and played an overrated ohio st team. a lot of 2-5 loss conference records this decade. great teams don't lose 2+ games in their conference (see alabama, florida, auburn, oklahoma, texas, usc)Truth is, you're an above average solid football team with a good bowl record and that's it. Be happy with 10-2 because i don't think you will get much better than that anytime soon.

BTW - LSU is 12th in all-time wins... not too shabby... and I would say that's pretty damn "relevant"... much more relevant than... what team do you pull for again?

And yet your fanbase is celebrating 10-2 like it's the greatest thing ever. Also, most in your fanbase has Auburn as their favorite team right now in their avatars so that you can get to your first BCS bowl. LSU has already been on multiple occasions. And you have to play two games in that piss poor arse stadium in Little Rock every year. That's like us giving up a game in Tiger Stadium to play in Shreveport. So don't come here and spout about how LSU is just an above average program until you evaluate your own first.

They have a football team that has NEVER done anything.
The think they have earned the respect to be able to talk about one of the top teams in College football.
