Strange comparison. I don't remember Saban having the transfer portal to immediately plug holes with experienced players when he arrived at Alabama. Nor did he have it when he arrived at LSU, but that turnaround was rather quick.
None of this has anything to do with losing to a bad A&M. We didn't tackle, didn't throw the ball down the field, and generally didn't do much of anything right.
