Well...let's be honest....hardly anyone has a Top Ten FB and BB team EVERY year.....Yeah, the football team hasn't competed for a title in four years, but.....they're usually pretty good.....and LSU has only been a BB "power" a couple of times, or so....
I'd say the state of athletics at LSU is just fine....

OP is kinda hard to decipher, but my take:
Football and baseball coaches are safe. We have coaches with national titles on their record, and we are still starting basically every season in the top 10. Miles' seat might have gotten hot, but he used that to his advantage and upgraded his staff.
Basketball is a different story. For awhile, we didn't have the players to run with the big boys; that's no longer a viable excuse. We've just run through a period with Johnny O'Bryant, Jarrell Martin, Jordan Mickey, Ben Simmons, Antonio Blakeney, and Craig Victor (among others), and we have 0-1 in 1 NCAA appearance to show for it.
LSU has shown it can get talent to come here; now it's time to find the right coach to win.

Here is my take, the agitation of one group is feeding the agitation of the others, and this caused the discontent to be compounded, like squaring a number rather adding, that is all I am saying, you guys who hear it any other way are the pussies having trouble

Having the most players in the NFL does not mean you're not underachieving. To the contrary. Having this many future NFL players should have produced some epic seasons.

I for one am of the opinion that Les Miles is useless crapsack who couldn't coach a bunch of starving Ethiopians to the free lunch line. With that being said, comparing his football program to JJ and the train wreck that is LSU basketball is like comparing apples to oranges.

Any sane person could not argue this, but on the tRant sanity is not required. The good news at least our Athletic Board Of Directors is not as incompetent as some of our fans. If Miles has another year like last year, we won't have to endure it any longer

Like I said before. All of you that were up on your hind legs cheering the firing of Coach Miles last season can locate your balls along with Allevas and the "buyout" boosters on Miles trophy wall. Only a losing season would cause Miles departure.

One thing to lose a ball game. It's a whole different thing to go,or rather try to go man to man and get turned into a prison bitch like Miles did to all of you and your sister Alleva. But by all means deflect away if it makes you feel better. LOL

I do not know how to be clearer than to say that the discontent with one athletic program is feeding into the discontent of another program and this COMPOUNDS the misery, such as in mathematics when one squares something as compared to adding.
Further that if a coach cannot not see the Snowball getting bigger, regardless of the reason he is in for a surprise. All you have to do is look at the board to see it happening - It is an overall net effect

I would have thought we had learned that from the fact both Les and Cam, both fired on this board by those malcontents, are still going strong at LSU and
