The point is there are serious problems with this team in Kelly's 3rd season! There are many people who are already lowering expectations. I think we should be raising expectations considering this is LSU and considering how much $$ we are paying this coaching staff. I have to admit, I'm worried starting with the Ole Miss game. The back half of the schedule is tougher sans Vandy. If we had lost that game Saturday the mood here would be disaster syndrome. I support Kelly, but he has three weeks to get this team better. The team I saw Saturday looks like 7-5, 8-4 at best.

I agree with you. We’re not trending upward. Discipline and penalties are out of control. Our heisman QB went pro and exposed a very average OL (rushing at least). I’m not lowering expectations at all but I know this team probably loses 2 more games. Maybe more.
I’m more pissed about penalties and our players not knowing where to be.
I think BK is an above average coach but I’m not sure he’ll ever get a title here. But if Orgeron and Miles can…there’s def a chance. But it will take another year or two.

I agree that Kelly is a good coach.....However, the critique of Kelly at ND that he could not win the big games (not going to win a NC) may be accurate. Think what you want...either support Kelly through what seems to be a downward trend or not, we can only hope those who make these decisions are up to the task.
