What do you mean no facts? It has been proven that this guy and his family exist.

Why are you harassing the admins when the story has already been confirmed?

I think the no facts referred to is that no one outside of the family knows this even happened. No reports by any law enforcement and even WV fans hadn't heard of it. The story is one of those that seems one sided right now and the way it is presented is that the guy was just sitting there doing nothing and got his arse beat.

Until I see a link to a reliable news story I simply don't believe any of this. Is there something wrong with thinking this way???
Give me a link to a factual legitimate story and I will believe this to be true.

This reminds me of the time that, right after Katrina, a friend from out of town sent me a chain e-mail with this long and detailed description of roving gangs of maniacs looting downtown Baton Rouge.

The truth turned out to be a minor altercation between a couple guys at the River Center.

When it appears in the news, it's confirmed. That hasn't happened. There is a twelve page thread already on this subject in the SEC Rant: LINK

I believe that MM definitely took a beat down. It was most likely from WVU fans. Did he start it? It is very possible. Did his wife really get tossed around? I don't know that either. His pictures posted on his wall show that he was fricked up pretty badly.

my sources (hometown of vitim) say this story is real. I wouldn't think Morgantown press would be overly eager to report this

From the WV boards
quote:

The guy's name is Marcus Mason. He's from Natchez. His wife's name is Hannah. They have a 2 year old too. This is his wife's last facebook post.

Via Marcus' wife:

"Overwhelmed by all the posts, prayers, and concerned friends- thank you all, I cannot say thank you enough. I just left the hospital to try to let us rest. After several sorts of trauma/ER teams at UPMC Presbyterian (I think there were 6) examined Marcus up and down, they've deducted that 1) He has no brain injury, though his frontal bone is fractured right in the middle of his forehead, yet it will heal on its own, 2) He has a shattered bone in his eye socket that needs replacing with a couple of screws and a plastic plate? but his vision is good, 3) His nose is severely broken but will somehow be straightened out, 4) His shoulder is NOT broken but feels as though it is, and 5) No one can break his sense of humor. So many precautions were taken and tests were done today that the surgery will be tomorrow. I am very sore but holding a precious boy on my lap, one in my tummy, and the other in my heart. These boys are my life that I cannot imagine without them. Marcus' first words when his friends walked in, "HOW 'BOUT THEM TIGERS?!"
