And if my south endzone seats would happen to be affected, what happens then??? I personally don't see the need and couldn't afford it anyway (I'm not OT rich) ...
Really, what happens if any ticket holders would be displaced? I AIN'T going to the uppers.

LSU football sure was more fun before Nick Saban.

Would someone with a NOLA.com account set this idiot straight? I hate ignorant people that refuse to understand that the "tax payers" dont fund this

You mean taxpayers paying for the expansion. LSU is public so ANY money they make off players is still the taxpayer's money.
LSU fired a bunch of teachers last year and year before because of money but they increased salaries for its coaches during the same time, and they still pay one coach millions to coach kids that make nothing.
When will states start to cap college coaches' pay, since they too are public employees?
I know, I know, LSU football makes the money to pay for coaches, but you are still dismissing the fact that ANYTHING to do with a public school is still owned by taxpayer's.
However, if this expansion makes financial sense then why not expand? Nothing wrong with adding a few thousand more annoying fans that yell the same phrase over and over and over and over and over; I.E. "Tiger Bait." I am from Louisiana and even I cannot stand to hear people constantly yelling that stupid phrase.

now expanding the stadium and expanding "premium seating" are two different things. That may make the seating capacity smaller actually. It's only adding suites and club seats, possibly at the cost of other spaces.
Yep and I fear that not adding an upper deck to the South Endzone makes for a problem a decade down the road. Also, why in the hell did we need to rebuild the entire West Upper if not to make for a uniform structure when adding an upper in the South Endzone. I thought that was the main reason the West Upper was redone along with building a new press box.

This pole is more of a formality. I was with one of the Sub-contractors in the expansion of the west side(as well as the east), and it was mentioned then that they planned on expanding the stadium at the endzones. When finished it would have a capacity of 110k to 115k. They just needed time to get the funds together. As for the season tickets holders who lose their seats to addition, they are given opportunity to purchase new seats( however they usually cost more). The money is in the suites people, unfortunately.

Bathrooms in southwest end zone corner need to be renovated, it's a terrible design.

ANd it is sick, sick money. All suites are sold out, so I don't see how there wouldn't be interest in new ones.
The Club level is in a similar boat too, they would do well if more of those were built too.

Vanity makes me want seating in Death Valley to break 100k.
But Lord knows we need some internal renovations first. Or at least install those fricking windows that we already paid for.

I agree with this, the chain link is awful. But, wrought iron seems like it could be dangerous.

I love the bricked in look around the field like Jordan Hare and Neyland have. Michigan Stadium also has this look.

LSU explores expansion of Tiger Stadium
Good thing they don't evaluate empty seats after halftime when deciding if they should expand or not..
Why is the decision to add a SEZ upper deck and/or club seating and box suites dependent on how many "fans" leave the Vandy or North Texas game early to avoid traffic ???????????????????
(This doesn't happen for Bama or Fla. now, does it ????)
And who's going to 'SEEEEEEE' those empty seats since those games aren't on regional or national TV ???????????????
It SHOULD be dependent on how many butts are in the seats at the BEGINNING of the games, not the end, including HC games and season openers, no matter 'WHO' the opponent is. The 2003 opener agianst ULM was SRO, for example.
For most SEC opponents and big OOC games, Tiger Stadium could easily accommodate at least 110,000, maybe 120k+.
See:
2010: Alabama, MSU, Tenn, OM
2009: Florida, Arkansas, Auburn
2008: Alabama, MSU, UGA, OM, TU
2007: Va.Tech, USCe, Fla, Aub, Arky
2006: Ariz, MSU, Bama, Ole Miss, USL
2005: Tenn, Fla, Aub, Arky
2004: Oregon St, MSU, Bama, Ole Miss
2003: Georgia, Fla, Aub, Arky
2002: MSU, USCe, Bama, Ole Miss
2001: TU, Fla, Ole Miss, Arky, Auburn
2000: Tenn, MSU, Bama
LSU's seating capacity has gone from 67,500 in 1969 to 78,000 in 1978 to 80,000 in 1982 to 89,000 in 1998 to 91,000 in 2000 to 92,400 in 2005 to almost 93,000 currently.
I don't recall many empty seats for big games during this period, even in the '90s.

I was referring to the "Tigervision" games that are not televised by ESPN, CBS, JeffPilot, etc.
In other words - weenie teams that come into Tiger Stadium that are not shown on Regional or National TV (the North Texases, the La.Techs, the ULLs, the Middle Tennessees, etc).
Who fricking cares if people leave early for those? A. They won't be on TV outside of La.
B. It will STILL be standing room only at the BEGINNING of those games, no matter WHO the opponent is.
