I played snare in '78-'79. Was Asst. Section leader to Charlie. I know remember you, I'm guessing you remember me.

Didn’t Stanton go to Brother Martin? Playing the cadence that his high school band director wrote. Pretty cool!

KK........You're up in Portland Oregon now? How are you doing and what are you doing currently?

All you current Tiger Band Phi Boota Roota's in this thread should bow down to us original Corps Style LSU Drumline guys. We started it all in 78.

I was on the line from 93-96. Played snare for three years. Got a degree in Percussion Performance studying under Dr Rausch, who was a damn musical genius. I didn’t fully appreciate how versatile and talented he was until later.

Love me some Bleu Raiders, Bleu Balls (Bells if you’re politically correct) and, well, I’m not sure what the current 3rd cadence is called. We rolled out The Bleu Building as the first of the 3rd cadences in the sequence in 96, written by a couple of good friends of mine. I’ve watched several YouTube videos of the lines from recent years and BB still re-appears from time to time. I can still play every note of Raiders and Balls, but I would have to dig the music out for Building since we only played it for a year before I graduated.

The Stanton Moore video is really well done and definitely gets me in the mood to break out the sticks and get to work.

Love me some Bleu Raiders,
Dr.Rausch started at LSU back in the late 70's during Tiger Bands initial switch from Military Drill/Pageantry Style to Corps Style, but he did very little work with the Drumline.

Bleu Raeders is now immortalized though!
