how about 6?
Honestly, I thought they might get a junk time TD or so, and if they weren't working do hard on the running game, which i agree with and am glad they did, Brennan woulda added to get closer to the 60.
The exact score doesn't matter, but the decisiveness is Effin gorgeous
Kudos to the D for staying nasty.

This was the first time since the GA Southern game where they looked like what we expect an LSU defense to look like. It’s nice to see that against a passing team that has a capable offense.

Now that we're in post-game...
LBs did much better job and I think that's what made the difference between weeks 2-4 and this game. They did a MUCH better job of reading keys and being in position... which makes tackler better. Whole D tackled better for sure. Bigger, faster, more slippery, and stronger players await; counting on it to continue.
quote:This is something to note: our two really spectacular defensive performances were the GASO opener and following bye week. Again, have to watch going forward... but are there issues with complexity and implementation with only a standard practice week? Oh, and the poster who said holding Utah St. under 20 was no biggie is/was wrong. Holding them to 6 pts on FGs was outstanding and worthy of great note.
Aranda has had 2 weeks to plan.
quote:I'm thinking this is a great move. Still waiting for Flott to be tested to know for sure. Love and USU didn't test him. Does that mean they saw less opportunity than with Stingley covering? If so, then freaking awesome. That bodes well. But if Flott is half of what Stingley is in coverage man-man (and reports are he's right there with him) then we have a winner.
Moving Fulton to nickle safety is a big positive, and Flott is more than up to holding down the side opposite DS24.
quote:good call. I was both hoping and very optimistic, but not as confident as you.

No he doesn’t. FLA scored a whopping 20 points last year. 2017 was bad, but that wasn’t just Aranda.
