Yea, conceding any attempt at scoring with almost 3 minutes and two timeouts with college clock stopping rules while down 11 with supposedly nothing to lose is just really the smartest play.

Miserable frick you are. Your entire existence is surfing this site and all post so you can interject negativity at every turn. Is LSU a playoff contender? Nope. Is this a team that is getting better after a horrible start? Yep. Did this team show an effort that was better than years past against Bama? Yep. Can this team win 10 games despite huge holes on the roster? Yep. Are you a keyboard loser who has never competed for anything as evidenced by your post history? Yep

"We saw nothing Saturday night that we haven’t seen in every game in this series for a decade."

Utterly untrue. You're looking at little more than the score. We attacked them in different ways, forced them to play the entire field laterally, and were able to utilize blocking schemes that created some holes. We also set up pass plays that worked in terms of creating separation for big gains but the players couldn't make it happen. Of course, it's hyperbole to see the game as a turning point, but I am very pleased to see a more creative approach to offensive game planning.

You said we win with two plays. At a minimum we'd have needed 3 since we'd have needed a two point conversion (not counting XPs as plays). But yea, I'm the one that's too dumb.

I said we could win slap dick. What a miserable little bitch.

But did you really though?

The overall “moral victory” crowd makes it more difficult than ever to be a fan.

Your right I did. So if Danny makes those throws it’s 24-24 and I have faith that they would have won. They controlled the trenches and time of possession all night.

Perspective my man... perspective

I read a lot into people based on their outlook on certain things and how they perceive them... if he came away from this game with that outlook, then yes, he’s a miserable frick

we weren’t expected to win, so why not fricking go all out to get the win? Some trick plays, onside kick, reverses, WHERE DID THE frickING SCREEN PASS GO? If you end up losing pulling out all the stops then so fricking be it, at least you can say you threw everything at them
this is what i've been saying!! go spurrier for crying out loud. you're not supposed to win. you've lost 6 in a damn row. you're down 14-3 and have not challenged them on the scoreboard AT ALL. freakin grow some damn balls. forget this "don't make a mistake and regroup" crap. we pissed away a chance to possibly score, get some momentum and put the pressure ON THEM after the half.

what happened to the guice/williams combo? te's on seam route? etling isn't a horrible runner. throw in some rpo. at least one trick play. the coaches went full on beta for that game and it's inexcusable.

ever heard of steve spurrier? he's won a few games and he didn't do things like that. dude had the pedal to the metal from beginning to end. i'm not saying do that every time. but in this particular game, yeah, it's called for. now 7 in a row. stop looking for moral victories coaches

you're demonstrating that you have a fundamental misunderstanding of 6 in a row and 2 losses, one at home to troy.

if you're going to go soft in that situation, why even play the freakin game to begin with. just forfeit. you're basically telling them we haven't challenged you and we're not going to.

I'm curious... I didn't go back and look but I don't remember Bama crossing the 50 but 4 times? maybe 5 at most? If so, does that change your narrative?

It wasn't handled well, but turning the ball over down that deep would have ended any possibility of coming back. It's easy to look back now and say...bad call.
For the record, I didn't like it either.

You know what else prevents you from coming back from down 11?

Not scoring any points.

I said it as it was happening and was downvoted into oblivion.
