Unfortunately, I think it's VERY unlikely a one loss LSU will jump over an undefeated TCU, much less an undefeated Boise State. I don't agree w/ it, but that's my take from watching ESPN's analysts. I don't agree w/ their "logic," but I think a lot of the voters think the same way. The perception that LSU is "just lucky" overrides our wins and SOS. Like ESPN's Robert Smith, many voters continue to think of LSU as a 2 loss team because of the Tenn game. It'll get really interesting if Oregon or Auburn end up w/ one loss. Even then, we may still not pass Auburn because they beat us heads up. This would be similar to the scenario during our 2007 Championship season when Virginia Tech, although we'd beaten them the first game of the season, was ahead of us in the human polls until the final poll. Again, I don't agree w/ it, but I think barring some miracles (e.g. BSU losing to Nevada), we're probably as high in the BCS as we can get. I just don't get the national media's absolute love affair w/ BSU, TCU, undefeated records and high scoring offenses.....

Our strength of schedule started out the highest compared to the Big Ten co-leaders. But its been deflated by the UNC mess (they were #15 to open), and WV losing a couple more, and Ole Miss losing to J ville.

And FLA not being worth a shite.

The pollsters will without a doubt bump us down as far as neccesary as to ensure we don't sniff the title game.
But it's all crap anyway, until we prove we can go into Arkansas an beat a solid Rback team.

Boise is not playing a cupcake. They have a road game to what I am hoping is a snow game in Reno vs #19 Nevada. They had snow there yesterday. Nevada is good but not close to great. I am hoping for a near blizzard with tricky gusts to 50 mph that only kick in BIG! when Boise is trying to punt into the wind or trying a field goal to finish the first half.

Texas Christian is playing the cupcake of cupcakes. They play New Mexico or new Mexico state. WHATEVER. they have one win.
They are ranked #100. It would take an act of God.

Oregon is playing a decent team which is playing without one of its 3 best ball carrier/WRs. It seems easy on paper, but its really a rivalry game. It is not a sure thing. I believe it will be a rain, sleet and snow day, depending on the time of the game.
I am in Northern CA, and our church event at 3,000 feet had to be cancelled YESTERDAY, Sunday, because over 2,000 feet was 5 inches of snow, and not all parishioners have chains, although I do have them. Winter has set in in eco-topia.
I am hoping for mighty snows and capricious winds to influence outcomes in Oregon and Nevada for LSU's greater opportunity.
Yeee HA!! champ game. say it.
BCS national champ game!

Yummm. I can see Miles handing the trophy to JJ. Yeee HA!

ESPN just smiled

Look at the schedule of this team that almost lost to Fresno St last week; 5-6 Cal is the only BCS Conf team they've played. ESPN has been trying to build up Nevada for weeks now trying to make them look like a legit top 25 team, and its just laughable.

I love how you try to make it seem like cold conditions may phase a team from Idaho though.

That and Bama smack down those mighty mites who swarm past Cam Newton in the various misdirections and guile they do so well.
That 5 star from Ark turned out to be the real deal. I was disappointed when LSU did not get him. Now, more so.
he seems to be small enough to put a good whack on, and have it mean something, like happened to one of Oregon States trio, now down to the Jaquizz bros.

The problem Aubie creates, is a hesitation which is already pronounced, due to needing to be careful about approaching Mr Newton. I observed one LSU DE to come while in overdrive and be sidestepped like by a matador.

It takes two anyway. Big. So the little guys going in other directions become on their own as they zip to one side of the field, while everyone wonders where the ball is really.

Good luck Nicky. If you win this one, all is forgiven.

Sic em.
Throw so many TDs, its a new record. And someone watch Fairley. He needs two guys.
Dont turn your back on him. He is going to try to wound your QB. Be on it. No blow is too low for Fairley. Be warned.
He is a criminal.
Gardez vous en bien.

Watch your arse.

You sound like sour grapes. Lsu wins out and see what happens. BUT very doubtful they make it to the NC game. Its the year of a Boise or TCU to make it. I could care less about SOS at this point. If TCU and /or Boise go unbeaten LSU will NOT pass them Not saying its right but just the way it is.
