maybe so, but it has legs.

No it doesnt. This is pathetic.

Every team that has won the BCS had some "luck" on their side.

Why does everyone act like Miles did such a great coaching job in 07 when, IMO, did a shitty job
Because no matter how hard you fricktards try and edit history, he still won the SEC Championship and the undisputed National Championship.

I say true.

What...was the Easter Bunny not good to you?

The #1 goal of 120 college football programs in 07 was to win the BCS. Every team "choked" in reaching that goal, but LSU.

Maybe so robbbobb, but how many of those teams lost their last regular season game to an unranked team? How many of those teams lost 2 games?

We won the NC and the season was a blast, but we won the powerball. There isn't another bcs champ that was as lucky as we were. A well coached team would have seized the oppurtunity instead of leaving it up to pitt and some generous voters

Lonnie, what were your feelings walking out of tiger stadiun after the arky game? Just because we got a 3rd chance doesn't mean we choked the 1st two

It took west Virginia choking to hide lsu's choking

So does that mean that the 2003 national championship team choked?

They took an early TD lead on Florida with Skyler Green's punt return but the offense couldn't do anything after that.

Had they won that game, they would have been the outright champs that season.

no, it took West Virginia being too reliant on Pat White and not being able to win a tough game with him hurt that gave LSU the good fortune of having a chance to compete for the BCS title. Neither choked...

if west Virginia had won, and left lsu out of the championship game, you'd think differently

You forget history. If the OT rulle hadnt been put in place in the late 90's, LSU would have been the ONLY undefeated team that year.

No, fool. A Saban team cannot choke. Are you knew around here?

Serioulsy, though, very good point. I say neither team choked, but you won't get much support from the '07 "choke supporters".

If you say LSU choked in 2007, then you have to say every team that year with two losses and in contention choked even more....we did go to the CG afterall.

no...the team came out flat and got beat, doesn't mean anyone "choked".

The 2003 team didn't choke because when they lost to Florida, they were probably just getting in to the top ten if they were even in the top ten yet. LSU wasn't
preseason #2 in the polls and wasn't even picked to win the West in 2003. LSU never got a #1 ranking until the end of the season after the BCS.

We were #1 and lost on the road to a decent, but not even really good, Kentucky team.

We got a second chance to be #1 where all we had to do was beat a bunch of average teams, and we lost at home to a team with 3 players, all in the backfield.

Yes, we choked. We were still the most deserving team that season, but that doesn't mean we didn't choke. Just because everyone else was average doesn't mean we had to play average football to end the season.
