Not as comical as those denying the substantial achievements of Dale Brown to the LSU basketball program and his deserved recognition.
It started and was built on PAYING PLAYERS TO COME TO LSU either directly or indirectly through assistant coaches like Abernathy. I witnessed basketball players cashing checks. I saw the cars. I saw the clothes.
It was donors that I sat with that paid out the money and Dale sits there on his throne denying any of it while Abernathy is running around Mississippi with a brief case of cash that went missing and never reported it stolen. Why not?
Lifetime achievement my arse. I watched and sat with the people that made it happen.

Bruh who gives a shite about cheating? Every university does it. LSU football was built on cheats to win titles. If you don't the result is what you currently have with LSU basketball.

Video shows 19 chairs for this massive "Board." And 11 spots for what must be staff members (I thought they were the board until the camera flipped around.)
Does LA need that many political plums for a governor to hand out?
Each member can award 15 full scholarships. That's 285 scholarships at the whim of political appointees.
I couldn't care less what they name an old basketball court. The bigger issue is getting LA to trim bloated bureaucracy and political patronage and follow the lead of states like GA that have consolidated their public university systems, boards and colleges, with no impact on quality of education.
19 LSU Board Members?
16 U of L Board members?
16 Southern U System Board members?

Sure but if that's the issue let's not try and be holier-than-thou in regards to cheating. Everyone who is successful does it

He was trying to call out Mulkey on Twitter and drag her into this before Kramer called him out.
Guilbeau was in the comment section agreeing with Moscona too

This meeting format is terrible. Put a bow on the court after the comments. Why are we talking about a digital media center.

I agree though that the court shouldn't be named after him. His accomplishments are not that impressive. They're impressive for a university who has a mediocre basketball program historically.
The guy had some amazing players and couldn't even win a title here.

Guilbeau is a bitter curmudgeon who is more bent on hurting LSU than objective sports journalism.

I swear, the hills people choose to die on.
Mulkey's comment yesterday when asked about it was very diplomatic. She very smartly didn't want to insert herself in the middle of a political shite-storm that she had nothing to do with. She deferred to Bob Starkey, who worked under both coaches, and said she would be glad to comment when all of this calms down.
The next time Moscona calls Kim of Kramer for an interview on his show, they should both politely tell him to frick off.

Those guys cheated and won. Dale cheated and still couldn’t get it done. Apples and oranges.

Is it only yes/no vote or could they table it for another meeting
Posted on 2/10/23 at 9:55 am to nicholastiger
I’m sure they could table it if they wanted
