He rarely gets to touch the ball on offense. You can't shoot it if no one passes to you.

Exactly, we are trying to set up dribble drives where we either get to the goal are kick to an open man, Mwani is not going to be a dribble driver ever.

And without Pinson - our other guys are not driving effectively enough for kick outs and the other guys are not moving well enough to get open.

Having said that, and I love Mwani he could give two shits if he scores, but 0 rebounds in 23 minutes, that can't happen.

Mwani has been a mediocre role player at best.
He is a very good defender and since half the game is played on that end so that's a valuable skill...but you have to give something on offense. He was hitting that corner 3 and getting some garbage boards on offense at times, but did neither last night. 0 boards in 23 minutes ain't gonna cut it.

Days has got to work inside out. He’s at his best when he’s not forcing 3s

Yeah going 1 for 7 from the 3 point line was terrible BUT when this team gets healthy, they win those games they lost.

Think how good they'd be if Adam didn't get injured for the season

My point is, you can not change your offensive philosophy based off a 3-4 game stretch where officiating has been poor.

I agree. Just pointing out the frustration that players experience during a game. IMO Days gives up penetrating too early and starts settling for 3s.

For sure. We need Days to step up, he’s been in the program for a long time. Hopefully he can healthy and start stringing together some solid games.

Because our top 2 guards coming into the season are hurt. He’s a Soph who is growing and getting better. He wasn’t supposed to be the main guy.

Man, some of you people just don’t get how a team works

None of this has anything to do with anyone being hurt. Believe me, I know how a team and how the game works. My point went directly over your head.

My point is, you don’t have to run the offense through Gaines, he doesn’t need to be your primary ball handler. One of a couple secondary ball handlers? Sure, but there’s no reason you had to essentially slide him into the Pinson role, especially when he’s played nearly exclusively as a secondary ball handler/off ball his two years here.

The offense tends to bog down when he initiates, there’s no reason you can’t get more creative with your entry sets.

Need Reid to own the paint. Not enough production for his size.
