Johnson will not be fired this year. There are several talented kids coming next year and I believe that next season will be the litmus test for Johnson. If this kid O'Bryant can make an immediate impact and our shooting % improves we could make some noise next year.

Could someone please indulge me? How did he piss on Josh and why didn't Josh just move? If someone is about to piss on me, I'm getting out of the way.

If John Brady goes to jail, I'm gonna piss on your cat.

I have seen Obryant play and he isn't any better than Malcolm White or Garrett Green.

Do basketball fans believe that LSU's program is in better shape now than it was before John Brady was fired?

... wow ... I would have to say no. I liked the hire of TJ and thought it was time to let JB go, but now with just about three seasons under his belt here at LSU I don't think the program is any better today then it was three years ago.

I really hope you are wrong. O'Bryant is being sold as "the one" to fix our problems.

He hasn't been dominating this year in HS like I was expecting.

We will be ok and TJ will be given time to develop the program by bringing in guys who will be here 3 to 4 years.

All of us should have known it was going to get worst before it got better.

The fight your players had in the stands is a pretty big red flag that your program has some issues as well. Not to mention the struggle you had on the court winning the game.

Lets hope both programs get their act together and quickly.

We suck, its time for baseball season.
With that said, the SEC sucks in general in basketball and I don't see any SEC teams getting out of first weekend of tournament.

As far as State, that program is about to blow up under Stansbury. Sidney should've been tossed back in Dec and its obvious the players don't respect him.

I believe it's detailed in Mark Kreigel's biography, "Pistol."

Basically, he would mock Josh by calling him "Pistol", berate scholarship players if Josh made a play on them, and he played all of the seniors on senior night (including completely useless walk-on Paul Wolfert) except Josh.

I was done with Brady after that night.

I think Malcolm White could turn out to be decent but Garret Green is the softest 6-11 player I have ever seen. All he wants to do is shoot fadeaway 20 foot jumpers. So I hope he is better than White and definitely hope he has more heart than Green!!!

It is one thing to have a slight dropoff, but your little slip there is actually kind of fitting given what he has done in his short time here.

LINK

For an idea of what a true arse Brady was read above link.

I was very happy to see the G-Man mentioned in above article introduced with the 86 Final Four team.

So has there been any talk from the basketball program of letting G-man back on the team now that TJ is running the show? Seems like (regardless of what you think of him as a coach) at least TJ is a man of character who would probably reach out to a situation like that once he heard the story and realized it's a great opportunity to do the right thing along with great PR for the LSU basketball program if they bought G-man back.

Some on the recruiting board have said, O'Bryant has been kind of "soft" this year and hasn't been the hardest worker and that's why other big programs backed off.
Others are saying he is a stud who will provide an immediate precense and he is a raw talent who has a lot of potential.

Don't know who is right, but with M. White being sold as the savior last year, I'm not optomistic about Hamilton or O'Bryant coming in and turning this team around.

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. Right now, I have about zero faith in TJ's talent evaluation.

Fair enough. It was certainly his time to go, but I really think LSU made a bad hire when they replaced him. Feel free to prove me wrong, Trent.
