As LSU was shellacking Grambling tonight, Rutgers beat #10 Florida! Yes, the same Rutgers team that LSU beat 55-50, on the road on December 3rd.
Now, i really believe that a win vs. #24 Virginia on Jan. 2nd could push us into the top 25.
We can do this!

You do understand that the #25 team has 120 votes in the AP poll and LSU currently has ZERO. Who here really believes that beating the #24 team at home is going to vault them into the top 25.
Nevermind that vanderbilt beat the dog piss out of Marquette tonight - our big win.
I like LSU basketball as much as the next guy, but I don't have delusions of grandeur that we will be ranked when it would go against 30+ years of historical trends in college basketball polls.

some perspective here for the OP...
LSU was 21-4 and 9-0 in conference before they cracked the top 25 in '08-'09.
lets start talking about rankings if they beat UVA and win 3 or 4 games to open conference play.
