VU's Beede is a right-handed monster on right-handed batters. I hope for the following lineup:
1. Sciambra LF, 2. Laird RF, 3. McMullen DH, 4. Bregman SS, 5. Moore IB, 6. Stevenson CF, 7. Scavique C, 8. Hale 2B, 9. Ibarra 3B

You will never see that lineup.....does not matter who is pitching.

What is your opinion now that SEC play is a week away.

We are a solid lineup. There is not one true-power guy, but there are a lot of guys that can crank one out or lace a double (Bregman, McMullen, Scivicque, Ibarra, Moore). We don't strike out a lot either, which is great.

I believe that Stevenson needs to be hitting leadoff

Stevenson swings way too much to be the lead off hitter. He's fine where he is in the 7-hole.

you could move him up to 6, that's about all i'd do with Stevenson.

The season is won by winning the SEC, not just winning your first three games. I think we take 2 of 3 losing the Sunday game

I think Saturday will be our toughest game because that's the game glenn/bouman/bullpen are pitching. I feel more confident in Poche on Sundays right now. Nola vs Beede will be a fun battle to watch.

Stevenson is a perfect 2 hole hitter IMO.

Laird is the perfect 2 hole hitter. Moves the runners and can get on base a lot himself.

ETA: CPM said that keeping him in the lower part of the lineup gives him freedom and no attention so he doesn't have to bunt all the time and more RBI opportunities than a 2 hole hitter.

I feel your pain. Living here in ga, the only game I've seen the the grambling one on MLB. I get maybe a half dozen to 10 games on tv prior to regional play. I'm hoping we'll get more attention to baseball with the sec network
