hughes and Broussard
walker post tommy john
Marceaux your Saturday starter is unproven
you have various pitchers who you could count on that have nagging/unknown injuries.
you have an unknown at 1B, rather a collection of guys that you all say can play 1st but known who have actually done it.
Matt Clark was the last legitimate 1b we have recruited. why as the premiere program can we not recruit a legit left handed first baseman?
so the 4 lineup hole are 1b/ DH and Broussard/hughes

Everything at this point is conjecture. nobody knows.
reading the posts you would think we are the 1998 Yankees.

It's clear you know absolutely NOTHING about this baseball team. So, let me help you.

Broussard led the team in hitting, before he got hurt last season. Hughes struggled at the plate some last season, but showed good strides over the summer. Both players are great defensively. Also, let me add, there are good players behind them if either don't perform in Dugas and Bianco.

He is WAY over a year removed. Do you think coming back from TJ surguery is highly uncommon? He may be even better. If he's not, again, we have depth that could step into that Sunday starter role.

Read up on Marceaux a little bit. He was early round MLB talent, but dropped ONLY because of his high number and desire to play for LSU. He should be an absolute stud by the time it's all said and done. This isn't just the opinion of LSU fans. It's the opinion of baseball scouts and experts.

Dumbest fricking part of an incredibly dumb post overall. Read up on Beloso. If you would have any clue what you are talking about, you wouldn't have made this statement.

No dumbass, but this team is ranked #1 or #2 in most major polls for a very good reason. It's because they are damn good, really deep, and have fewer question marks than any other college baseball team.

Outside of Vandy, I bet you can't find a more complete/deep pitching staff in college baseball.

Catcher is a glaring hole as of now. Mathis has never shown anything with his bat, Garza was a 1b/C on his team so I’m not sure how his defense projects there. We might be in a very similar situation as last year with Coomes/Fedduccia, but Garza gives you a little more upside with the bat if he cuts down on K’s. I really think a some point in the year Beloso, Dugas and Willis are all starting. They all have a little more upside than anyone else in the infield other than Josh smith.

Name a hole on this team.

“That freshman stud pitcher who should have been a top 3 round pick and who I compared to Aaron Nola. He sucks”

I'll give you catcher. Until Garza is able to catch again, the catching position might be a concern. That probably has the highest chance of being the temporary hole on this team. The fact that ole dumbass didn't even list that in his "holes" on this team shows how clueless he is.

Pure speculation, but I think Garza will be a monster. Look where CPM has him in the lineup, and that tells you a lot about him.

He definitely looks the part, but I think he K’d like 30%+ in juco and summer league which isn’t ideal
