I have a feeling Dishon will eventually beat out Watkins.
you clearly know nothing about Trey Watkins, people are gonna love this kid, he's gonna be one of those pesky hitters, very fast, can definitely play center, and will steal alot of bases. My favorite addition to the team

He's good enough to bump Mahtook from center?
Mahtook looked lost at times in CF.
Watkins is a true speed guy. Mahtook will eventually bulk up cause he is gonna be a middle of the order hitter

Yes. we should see Mahtook starting in RF.

I thought the junior college transfer was gonna play 3rd?
If you're talking about Mike Lowery, he's out for the 2010 year (back surgery).

after landry has 20K'S BECAUSE HE CAN'T HIT THE LEFTY some one esle will get a shot.Don't know what happen to Dozar he had a HR in the first game and went 2 for 3 in the second.

Dozar is the main backup at 3B and C. He's going to get his fair share of playing time.

What about LHP Zach Lasuzzo? I hear he has been very solid this off season other than his first outing.

Going to get his fair share of innings, I wouldn't expect too much out of him, but is a southpaw and may be vital in key situations.

I have a feeling Dishon will eventually beat out Watkins.

Watkins is the next Jared Mitchel!

I read everyone's postings again, & if Watkins is good enough to put Dishon on the bench, then we have some great depth for next year in the field. My concern is the pitching- we really need someone to step up behind Ranaudo & become dominant. Will be exciting to see, can't wait for baseball season to start...

WATKINS is the real deal, if you blink he's standing on third.

Im not familiar with Watkins. Is he really a better CF than Landry?

do you think he'd be starting in CF if he weren't?

I didn't realize we already had opening day, but thanks smartass.

The blog says he won an outfield spot. Doesn't neccessarily mean CF, I was just asking...
Posted on 12/4/09 at 7:11 pm to TWSMMMRM
Yes he will be in CF. He's the fastest of the three (Mahtook, Landry, Watkins), which says a lot, because none are slow. Mahtook will be in RF because he's got the best arm of the three.

Wow, sounds like our outfield defense will be outstanding at all 3 positions, which is rare to find in college baseball.
