What's the experience like, going to spend a weekend in Knoxville watching LSU baseball? I plan to make the drive from Atlanta in a couple of months.

I was also going to make the drive from Savannah that weekend to watch the series. I have been there a few times I always loved Knoxville but since Vitello has gotten there the fans are not the best to deal with...but campus and City is very pretty.

They might be a little more humble now that their ascension has been aborted by Jay Johnson.

They’re no worse than how Carolina fans were when Tanner had the program rolling in the early 2010’s. Only difference is USC fans had trophies to match the trash talking. Tennessee is just a fraud.

MIGHT be hard to get tickets in that crackerbox park, for a big series.

I've been to two series in Knoxville.

First trip was in 2016. Drove to Knoxville from South Bend after the Notre Dame midweek games. Tennessee baseball was irrelevant. There were more LSU fans there than Tennessee fans. They were quiet and reserved. Knoxville is a nice college town. Make sure to visit Market Square for food and drinks .

Second trip was for Super Regionals - Paul M's last game. Entire stadium mood has changed with Coach Quido. We were cursed from start to finish. There were issues with Tennessee fans and player's parents and other older LSU fans. Tre Morgan was abused with racial remarks. Tennessee tried to honer PM after the game and was booed by the Tennessee fans. Scott Rab of The Advocate even asked for an apology the next day. I'll never go back.

I hope every LSU fan that goes to this series wears a 2023 NC shirt
