Berry is not LSU material. He should go to Tulane or USM.

tulane fan told me we are getting jamie bruno from them. played 1st base in 2009 and quit team in 2010, not sure if true or if he would have to sit out a year due to transfer. i know we recruited him before he went to tulane

Bruno was committed to us for a long time then signed with Tulane. The story I heard was our scholarship offer changed and he decided to go there instead. He was drafted by the Mets in something like the 16th round out of Mandeville.
He didn't hit for a very good average there as a freshman but he has some pop. He played on the same Northwoods team as Dozar for a while this Summer and still leads the team with 3 HRs even though he is no longer playing. At least I'm assuming he is no longer playing, there is an x by his name on the stats page. He left Tulane early last season, if he doesn't have to sit out I think he'll be our first baseman (assuming this is true). And fwiw, the Summer team's roster had him listed as playing for LSU.

i know we need to trim some kids but with the way the roster is shaping up we could have some serious depth
1B-Edward or Bruno
2B-Hanover
SS-Nola
3B-Jones or Rhymes
OF-Mahtook, Watkins, Katz, Leblanc
C-Ross or Snikeris
I think edward did well enough at third but i think they plan to move him to first. Bruno has some pop which we will need. I think jones has to play somewhere as does rhymes. Everyone thinks leblanc will be a starter if he gets here, katz has to play somewhere. Now i feel better about catching having ross and snikeris now. pitching is still tbd with lee and gausmann. I think ryan eades could help in the batting order as well

The lineup is starting to look pretty good. Katz may hit his way in, but I don't know where. The good thing with having this kind of depth is you can sit someone for a week or two while they are struggling and just plug someone else in, or maybe platoon some guys at a few positions.

There is going to have to be some serious attrition to fit these guys onto the roster. Everything looks good, if the pitchers can step this team could be scary good next year.

Bruno will have to sit out a year....FWIW he can't hit a breaking ball.
