We are coached great and just had thin pitching this year! I feel had we won this regional we would have been in the hunt for the ship

I expect LSU to play with a chip on there shoulder next year!

Why do I get the feeling we will lose three?
Posted on 6/4/14 at 8:45 pm to RATeamWannabe
I don't wanna get my hopes up but the only one I have serious concerns over is Marshall. If his name isn't called tomorrow, I think we get them all.
Could be one of our best recruiting classes in years and really set the table for some fun seasons ahead.

is and the valley shook a good source for baseball articles? They posted a very long article today on the draft and 2015.

without going player by player here is his general outlook on the draft and next season

So the best case scenario, which isn't terribly unrealistic, is that LSU loses Nola and Broussard from the current roster and only Bobby Bradley from the Signing Class. The worst case scenario is that LSU loses Nola, Broussard, Hale, Moore and Laird from the current roster along with four of the five pitchers signed as well as Deichmann, Bradley and one of the others. What's likely to happen is something in between those two extremes, and I tend to think it will be a lot closer to the first one that the last.
And if that's true, then LSU's 2015 roster may be one of the deepest I can remember, both at the plate and on the mound, in a very long time. It may lack a true superstar like Aaron Nola, but the quantity of top shelf talent should be as good as any team in the country. Here is what we could be looking at for a lineup:
C Scivicque
1B Moore
2B Hale
SS Bregman
3B Deichmann
LF Fraley
CF Stevenson
RF Laird
DH Chinea

What makes you think Moore and Foster are coming back?
Posted on 6/4/14 at 9:53 pm to harry coleman beast
I think we only lose 1

That would be sweet.

Did I read that article correct HCB?
So Laird is coming back and so is Hale, regardless?

Broussard and Moore are “50-50” on signing, coach Paul Mainieri said. Foster “will probably” sign, and Laird, a redshirt sophomore, has given the coach his intention to return for his junior season. Hale is also expected to return.
So Laird is coming back and so is Hale, regardless?

Thinking we lose bradley , but keep marshall and godfrey and deichmann. Just a hunch.

This is how I see it, except Chinea is not going to DH. The power he brings is nice but he simply lacks the ability to hit for average and we'll have too many other guys who will be able to hit .300+ in that spot with some power themselves.
I can see the weekend rotation as:
Fri - Poche
Sat - Bouman
Sun - Reynolds/Newman/Godfrey

I'll be interested in seeing how Kramer does this summer. Would be great if he could have a Stevenson-like improvement at the plate.

He will be improved.
And if bouman is starting on saturday, we are in trouble, so i doubt that happens

I have a feeling we will have a freshman starting on Saturdays next season.

I doubted Bouman quite a bit but he ended having a very similar season to Poche, just look at the numbers.
His 6 inning 2 hit shutout of Houston was more than impressive. His last 3 starts he gave up just 10 hits and 2 runs in 17 innings. He closed out this year extremely well. No telling what he would have done in a S.R. had pitched an inning or two more against Houston and then we went to Broussard...

Can't be assumed at all right now, regardless of hearsay.
