Not sure LSU fans should joke about time issues...

Didn't Colt David try a 60+ yard field goal at the end of regulation vs Kentucky in 2007? Of course, David just missed making that kick. It landed out the back of the endzone.

The 57+ yard field goal is less questionable then going for it on fourth when you were in close field goal range.

If I was a coach this is my thought process.

1) this kicker was making 60 yard field goals in practice and the wind is at his back
2) I could throw up a hail mary but the chances of that are slim.
3) If I kick the field goal it could be blocked and returned for a TD but this is a slim chance
4) My kicker kicks it short he returns it for a TD but this is also very unlikely.

so knowing that my best chance to win is to kick the field goal and the risk isn't to great you kick the field goal.

but not kicking it from the 12 or something like that

I kept hoping for the best with Mett, what I read on Saturday sounded good, but then I watched the CST replay last night, and I didn't like what I saw. Mett went from trying to walk on it, to being on crutches, to crying after the game. I don't think all of those tears were because it was his last game in Tiger Stadium. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he has taken his last snap as a Tiger, and I hope he can be healthy enough for the NFL combine.

Mett deserves to start, but im not sure its in the best interest for him considering his NFL future.

I'm pulling for Mett to play, but if he is injured, at least we know we have a Heisman quality backup. With all of the Heisman contenders falling on their face in the last two weeks, I think Jennings first of 6 Heisman moments on the td pass to Dural should at least get him an invite to the Heisman ceremony for being the most clutch qb in the nation, on game winning drives, in the last regular season game, in a rivalry game, against an opponent that started the year 3-0.

Depends on where we go. Somewhere in Florida, definitely. Might go to the Cotton, not sure yet.

I refuse to go back to the Cap One. I was in the endzone that Iowa scored in.

Oh yeah I'm the same way, but I'm pretty sure we won't end up there this year. That Iowa TD happened right in front of me. And then I sat through the monsoon played in mud against Penn State.
