Probably stay up here. From ATL my only option is delta, but from here I have a few more airline options.

Everything to BR is already cancelled. Going to New Orleans through JFK tonight. Doubt roads will be open to get home so looking to get a ride tomorrow. Or a rental if necessary.

if you stay on surface streets in NOLA you should be able to get out of town, of course it will take you much more time but you will be able to get home.
Note: as of now I-10 is closed pretty much from Lafyette to Nola but you can get to BR going HWY61 or airline
