Not really. Box >>>>>>>> Zephyr Field.

But the problem is money and the principle of it. UNO is now going to make a lot of money off of LSU fans, much more than they would have at their own stadium. Also, the whole purpose of this was to honor PM's old coach with the new stadium at UNO which this does not do.

what you are saying makes sense and it would probably be better if it was in BR. But LSU baseball fans who live in NOLA are very excited to be able to see the tigers in NOLA.

Note: yes I could drive to BR but it's nice that it is here.

They get another two games this year too. Vs. Tulane and the WPC, so that's not very relevant.

look I think the game should be at the box I don't disagree at all. I'm just excited I don't have to drive to BR to see the game.

you made a good point with the money thing which explained why he shouldn't be ok with it. I take back what I said earlier.

but calm down guys you guys are making to big of a deal of this it sucks yes but don't jump on me for being excited about the game being here.

We're calm. We're disagreeing. No one's jumping on you for being excited. It's a big deal to PM because this doesn't serve the special purpose he had intended it to which was the reasoning he gave the LSU fans for having one of our opening weekend games outside of the Box at such a shitty place to have a weekend game.

edit: Zypher field aint a horrible place to have a game nothing like the box but not bad.

The shitty place I was referring to was UNO's field. It might be new, but it's a terrible place to play baseball in February.

For me, it's going to be a game day decision. If I wake up and the weather is warm and sunny, I'll probably go. If not, nope.

ETA: Russian, I'm making a whole day out of it. I went to college in New Orleans and plan to meet up with some friends and head to some favorite haunts. With the kid, I haven't seen some of these guys in a while.
