depending on how hungry you are, i would head over to yesterdays in 5 points.

That dude that goes to all of the restaurants every gameday was there last year.

The campus is super spread out. This link will give you an idea of the lay of the campus...

Sounds good for us "older" folks. Pretty close to the Hampton?

Yeah, the Hampton Inn is right in the Vista. Actually, Liberty Tapp Room is pretty much across the street from the Hampton Inn.

Well, you could walk around campus. Its actually pretty nice. I'd recommend the HorseShoe. Its actually the original campus of USC. 900 Block of Sumter St.

There's also the State Capitol House that is on Gervais St. It's a pretty historic. Specially with the whole Rebel Flag thing.

The State Fair is taking place right now as well. So if you want a deep-fried snickers that is the place to go.

Once your done eating, there is also a few pretty cool little shops you can step into down in 5 points. Not many though, since 5 points is small and its mostly bars.

If you want to drink in the afternoon, I'd hit Wet Willies in the Vista on Gervais Street.

Unless a lot of students (or very recent grads) are posting here, I hear the Vista area might be more what we are looking for. I would rather wait until Saturday before getting into it with the Cocky Cocks. Liberty Tap Room was recommended to me-sounds kind of like The Chimes in BR....
