I don't think it's crazy. Just about all of both defenses will play on Sundays. Richardson could play right NOW in the nfl.
I've got news for you. Even the backups for the Colts are playing on Sundays!
And they are all playing on Sundays after becoming better than they were when they were in college.

i remember watching the college all stars against the NFL champs ( not the super bowl champs). It was usually a tight game.

Every practice squad in the NFL is filled with players who excelled in college and was good enough to, well, play at the "next level".
Teams like LSU and Bama have a small handful of players who can do that right this moment. A few more of them will play on Sundays given some more development. And even more will make the practice squad.
But that does not translate to even a slim chance of a team win.
I haven't read the entire thread so someone may have already brought this up but back in the 60's for a couple of years there was a "college all-stars vs. NFL champions" game or some such. And the collegians did pretty well, even winning once (I think Namath's Jets were the losers). But the game of today is vastly different and pro teams are just enormously better now.

You would think us SEC fans would know more about football... The NFL teams would destroy both Bama and LSU and it would not be close.
