Everyone has an equal opportunity to qualify for the gifted program, but if the outcome is not equal, then it’s racial.
But the outcome is itself a better opportunity.
By getting into a gifted program you usually get better resources and better teachers which means you get a better opportunity as well.
I’ve read a few of his solo published article and more of his work is focused on the process.
His “math is racist” articles people are crying about are less about math itself and more about whether how we teach black kids is the best way to teach them.

No shite.
He believes that any such program should be based on racial percentages, not actual ability.
Equity, not equality

Look at the argument you're trying to defend

If you consider the program itself an opportunity than don’t you believe in equity of opportunity?

Not sure what you’re saying here.

Do you think it’s impossible that kids in different cultures learn differently?

Thinking he's drunk posting

I think it's impossible one race in this country can't overcome something every other race in this country doesn't seem to have a problem with.
I think it's no coincidence you chose the word "culture" instead of "race"

So a black kid in L.A. and one in Miami learn the same because of their race?
What culture do they share?
Sounds racist.
What culture do they share?
Sounds racist.

So do you posit we should teach black kids separately, but equally?

1. When I ask Someone to support an opinion and they provide a quote, I absolutelt Expect them to tell me where they pulled that quote fromz
And who are you again to demand such things exactly? You certainly haven’t demonstrated the intellectual capacity to be in a position to demand other people explain themselves to you.
It was really great when earlier in the thread you, as a supposed attorney, got called out for not knowing what discovery is. Then when it was pointed out you had been provided all the information for discovery, you went back to whining about not being given direct quotes.
quote:
If you don’t get this you’ve never written anythin
People did provide you links. Several of them. You were just too lazy to read them, after telling other people they can’t have an opinion if they haven’t read them.
Then after telling people to stop providing links, you expected to be provided a link.
Still in summary, you’re a fricking joke.

2. They guy has published consistently since 1995. Sorry if I asked for a name of an article.
So in addition to being a fricking joke, lazy, and worthless, you don’t know how to search for things on the internet either? What are you good at exactly? From your posts on this message board, it would seem like nothing outside of proudly saying flaunting your own stupidity.
quote:
3. It took how many pages before a different poster actually posted it. Lazy is forming opinions without research and most of you clearly HAVE not started to read anything the man wrote.
As someone else point out, you saying this after defending koy Moore in a several hundred post thread without the video evidence is just peak lol.
quote:
I respect the poster who have, but if you can’t tell someone what you’re opinion is based on I am Going to assume it isn’t based on anything.
As I said earlier in the thread, you don’t know what critical race theory is. Either that, or you subscribe to it’s belief system.
Tate has 20+ published research articles about critical race theory. I don’t need to read them to know he is a proponent of that belief system. And I will not read anything from anyone arguing the virtues and legitimacy of such a toxic, divisive, destructive ideology. Just like I wouldn’t need to read a paper about how the nazis weren’t that bad or why white supremacy should be more popular to understand those authors belief systems, and would be perfectly comfortable deciding the authors of those papers should not be leading an entire system of higher education.

Equity is based on outcomes, not opportunity.

So now you’ve moved on from “directly challenging” people to prove Tate subscribed to a completely toxic and divisive ideology, to no longer hiding the fact that you do as well and are fully in support of judging people based solely on the color of their skin.
In summary, you’re still a fricking joke. But at least you’re no longer a coward.

Not for an opportunity defined by excellence. We all have different gifts and abilities. While I don't believe in pigeonholing underperforming kids, there is a reason that remedial programs exist to be more equitable to those needing more help.

It never ceases to amaze me how confirmation bias completely erodes reading comprehension.
