Why not have thanksgiving a day earlier and then head to BR for the game on thursday.
How many people you know are off the wednesday before thanksgiving? C'mon dude, use your head.
Not everybody is a diehard LSU fan. I'm the only one that goes to every game. You think my family is gonna change our tradition to accompany me? No

I agree, if I was still on active duty or something and couldn't go to the games I wouldn't mind watching on TV on thanksgiving night other than the fact that our chances of coming out flat are even greater than all the flat performances we have had on fridays. But now that I'm in a position to attend games the last thing I want to do is maneuver an LSU game into Thanksgiving day, especially when my family is in Natchitoches.
Add in the guilt factor people will now have to deal with when they skip a family function for a football game..........

It has a lot to do with it. When I was 20 years old, my priority would be going to the LSU game. I'm 33 now and trust me, my priority is still LSU, but I know when it's time to be with family and Thanksgiving is one of those times.
How does a 7pm game stop you from being with your family if you so choose? Why can't people bring their Thanksgiving out to the tailgate? I just don't see what the big deal really is, or how it really affects much. I actually like that I get a full 3-day weekend now, rather than have Friday "wasted" by having to watch a game in the middle of the day. Now I can go do shite Fri, Sat, Sun.

Exactly the same.
Exactly
Really? So the Detroit Lions playing on Thanksgiving is the same as LSU playing on Thanksgiving? You people are fricking dumb.

I cannot believe all the whining on here! I guarantee you if we don't fill up the stadium on Thanksgiving, the aggies will.
This proves Saban's point. Tailgaiting is bigger to LSU fans then football.
We finally get a night game and you whine and cry like babies. Have your fricken turkey at the tailgate is so important to ya.

You say people won't go to the game because of the holiday.
Every other sporting event held across the nation on holidays says you are wrong.
You are the obtuse one friendo.

So because you're unable to get permission from your family to attend a game on Thanksgiving night, the Tigers should turn down primetime television? Right.
This is a great thing for LSU.

Have no issue with this at all. The 2 brightsides, a guaranteed home night game every other year and being the big college game on Thanksgiving night when everyone is at home watching tv, outweigh the bads imo. More exposure helps recruiting and the more the better on that front especially from a state of Texas perspective. As much as people on here bitched about the night games, or lack thereof, last year it's hard to believe so many are bitching about this. I guess the rumors are true. Our fanbase just wants a reason to bitch about something. It's ridiculous.
Much prefer Thanksgiving night to the Friday slot at 2:30(VA time).
The guy that said Texas was inferior as a brand to LSU football, are you serious? They make more money than anyone in college football by far. Their brand is just fine and as much as it pains me to say, at least equal to ours if not greater. They are one of the 2 alphas of college football with ND.

So you never ever want another night game in tiger stadium?
I would take a 2:30 game over a night game any time. I don't have to drink from 7am to 7pm, I get home at a decent time, and I can watch the night game that's playing.

Yes. The nba and nfl have to worry about bitchy mother in laws as well.

I don't play that shite. Sucks that you have to. I really don't see too many families not understanding someone going to the game, even on Thanksgiving. For anyone that lives within an hour or so of TS, you can still hang out with the fam until like 2 and then go to the game (with time to tailgate for a couple hours). From Natchitoches? Yeah, that's not real convenient, but it is only every other year.

I'm also not a fan of using our bye week that late in the season just to justify a thurday game.
Would you rather have a bye week before TAMU or Bama?

Not everyone lives in BR. You surely don't, that's why you don't give a shite.

If you're serious, you're a fricking idiot. I don't like saying something like that on the Rant, because this is just football, but honestly you should just pick another team to follow. Ridiculous.

This isn't what people had in mind for night games and you know it isn't

Why do most people want night games stupid? To tailgate.

and the fact that you don't want another night game at all is a bit pathetic. I don't have a problem with mid afternoon games...but to completely drop night games would destroy something special at LSU.
I'm just glad that you are well in the minority when it comes to this argument.
