Hey morons. Again.

quote:

You say people won't go to the game because of the holiday. Every other sporting event held across the nation on holidays says you are wrong. You are the obtuse one friendo.

Refute.

You can't.

who said drinking from 7 to 7?

and the fact that you don't want another night game at all is a bit pathetic. I don't have a problem with mid afternoon games...but to completely drop night games would destroy something special at LSU.

I'm just glad that you are well in the minority when it comes to this argument.

He's either trolling, or a Baptist minister.

Then why can't you hang with your family until 2 or 3 and then go to the game? You are admitting that you don't even need to tailgate all day, so the TGiving night game should affect you even less. As far as your comment about caring to watch other games, I have no comment.

Why do most people want night games stupid? To tailgate.
No need for calling someone stupid.

You referred to a previous poster as being a "22 year old" and say you're 33. We get it that you want to spend the holiday with your momma.

That's the only other positive I see and now that 3 day becomes a 4 day when someone chooses not to attend the game

I'm also not a fan of using our bye week that late in the season just to justify a thurday game.

Would you rather have a bye week before TAMU or Bama?

Well, now you are on to a different argument, and one that I agree with. I don't like the short week, especially if we end up playing another rival game against Ole Miss the weak before. Sure, they suck now, but they'll give us a game one day. Then we'll have to turn around 5 days later and play A&M. Don't like that. The fan issues and tailgating interference means nothing to me, and is pretty lame.

You've already admitted that you would prefer LSU not to play any more night games. Your opinion is completely invalid.

No it won't. My family isn't stupid enough to get pissed over me going to the LSU/A&M rivalry game and I'm sure a number of people are happy to get away from the family quicker.

Did I say my family would be mad? Nope, sure didn't. I just enjoy spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with family.

Haha, you live a fricking hour away (assuming you are in Laffy). Again, hang with the family until 2, eat around noon, and you'll still get to campus in time to tailgate for a few hours. I'll be at the game, and I am actually so far away that it will completely take my Thanksgiving away.

If you're serious, you're a fricking idiot. I don't like saying something like that on the Rant, because this is just football, but honestly you should just pick another team to follow. Ridiculous.

No, sorry. You're the idiot. I'd rather watch football, not tailgate for 12 hours.

but you've come up with every irrelevant argument to say that this is a terrible idea by lsu.

In all honesty, you strike me as a person who doesn't really care about the atmosphere of the game. Just as long as it's on your terms. Just as long that you are in bed before 9pm.

I've watched A&M and UT play for years. Some times it was at 10am on Saturday, sometimes on Friday, only recently returned to Turkey Day game. I don't ever recall seeing empty seats.

For every Tiger that fails to show on Thanksgiving night, assuming it's true that the game is played at that time, an aggy will take your seat. I guarantee.

It's a shame you don't have enough friends to tailgate with. I assure you, it only enhances the experience.

Played Tulane on Thanksgiving night 1983 @ SD in a pretty lackluster affair(I think we won like 13-6 or something, people were stuffed out from the day but AtM would generate much more exitement for sure!

Dude my mom could care less about an LSU football game and she's not the only family member in the state of Louisiana with that opinion. How many people are gonna have to tell their 85 year old grandpa with cancer that they aren't coming home for Thanksgiving because they are going to the LSU game instead? That's just one example. The people that post on here are the 1%, 99% can't go to every single LSU sporting event that takes place, that doesn't make them less of a fan.
