So true. It took everyone on the staff working together to make this work. A lot of fans on here are so impulsive with their decision making; you guys realize that you're generating unneeded hype? It's the same with the original O hiring that got people so pissed at Alleva. I know it worked out in the end, but the point is we can take more steps to protect ourselves in the long run.

Also look at what's happening with Aranda now. There's obviously a lot of mixed feelings regarding the results from our defense this year. We rushed into a massive contract with him without ever really asking him to prove himself.

Haha...I'm sorry. Facts. Right.

Did Brady call plays with the Saints? Or was he an offensive assistant?
How many years has Brady coached a position?
How many years removed is Brady from a GA?
Has Brady ever, ever, called a single play or coached offense before this year?
Show me where Brady called plays and designed the offense with any team?

We could go on.

This isn't to bash Brady, but rather to help you understand that it takes experience to implement and system and make it work. so you think Brady just magically did this on his own?

Brady is full of great ideas. He might be an offensive genius. But SE has been there to help it all work, and help take the ideas and mold it into something that can work for the entire team. He is the perfect Mentor and Captain to help bring such a young mind forward.

I'm sorry if you can't see this.

Everyone has to call plays at some point to have experience. Some guys are geniuses, who don't need all that experience. You know how he learned how to call plays? He watched what Payton did.

If he were relying on Steve Ensminger, we'd have been annihilated again. You know how I know that? Just look at last year, with the same players.

You're going to keep saying the same BS, and I'm going to keep reminding you of Ensminger's long track record as a play caller. This is an absurd argument to be having.

I agree, i think recruits want a sense of assurance that Brady is not going anywhere. Locking him down puts all of the offensive guys (and defensive guys, as they want to be a part of this) on notice that this is just the beginning of an offensive juggernaut.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Why can't it be some of both? Obviously Joe Brady brought in concepts that were new to Steve Ensminger, but you can't deny the fact that Ensminger has experience and knowledge just from the sheer amount of years he's been in the game that JB just can't have. Unless you're in the coaches' booth, you can't say that he's contributing nothing and Brady is doing everything.

Is this where we say we're sorry you can't see the difference from without Joe Brady last year to with Joe Brady this year?

Aren't you the same guy that relentlessly bashed O, the hiring of O and everything O? How wrong where you there? Probably as wrong as you are now.

Because, you can't see the 3 or 4 moves ahead, and you can't see all the variables and intangibles that are involved in this. Ideas and concepts are one thing. Plays are another. Calling plays is another. Playing situational football is another. Understanding your personnel is another.... etc, etc. See where this is going?

Brady brings a lot to the table. But, SE brings a lot also. You are trying to make this a simple thing, when it is not.

No. And even if I was, that's a useless response to my post.

I just call it like I see it, it's going to be a hot topic at some point soon once our star QB leaves and fans start having more time to question the defense.

HAHAHAHAH... so, I could go "watch" Payton for 2 years and be a great OC?

and another gem.... "some don't need experience". hahaha... thank you for showing your true intellect in this matter.

Just look at Ensminger's whole history, and then look at this year.

Due to emotions they're trying to force a reality that isn't.

Trying to prove an acolyte of McClendon - Miles has suddenly overnight become an improvisational offensive guru.

I'm referencing Metal's reply to cra_cra saying he's crazy for believing SE is contributing to the team in ways that we do not see/is actually calling plays.
