LSU and its boosters should be embarrassed
Something like this is never easy or pleasant. But Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Alleva needs to go before Miles. Alleva has turned this into a PR disaster. He is pathetic.

For the record I never said anything about keeping Les. I just commented on this entire situation and how it is playing out.

I don't think that they get Jimbo. I think Jimbo/Sexton uses LSU to get a big raise and extended contract out of FSU. Looks like Jimbo has it easy at FSU and has no real desire to come back here. IMO.

lololol. i just hope you show the same amount of dedication to the next coach you have given Leslie Edwin. His time is coming to an end, so I am going to treasure these last melts.

What has ACTUALLY happened, other than a one liner from one person and what the media (espn) is making up? Can someone enlighten me on what the university has done to embarrass itself?
You won't get a straight answer, I'd stop worrying about it.

Are some of you women? Posts like this sound like they come from some whiney women PMSing.

The best part about your tasty melt is that you love to bash people for their unrealistic world views related to politics, when this post perfectly encapsulates your complete and utter detachment from reality. You are the Utopian dreamer of LSU fans.
Miles isn't some volunteer schlub out there volunteering his blood, sweat and tears for the school. He is a paid employee doing his job, at the rate of a few million dollars per year. You want respect at your job? Receiving a multi-million dollar salary is a good place to start. The fact that you treat him like a charity case would be comical if you weren't so sadly sincere.
That's the thing, they don't care what you think. They don't care what your friends think. They don't care what your family thinks. You and your feelings are of no concern whatsoever. Their job is to oversee a mult-million dollar sports empire built on the foundation of winning. Tough decisions have to be made by people with the gumption to make them, because they have to deal with lunatics like you screaming "frick YOU!!!" at them for making a decision in the best interest of the program.
Just because you can't wake up, doesn't mean the rest of us want to continue living Groundhog Day.

but show some common decency and respect. He's been here 11 years and accomplished more than any other coach in our history and has been a great ambassador.

The spoiled idiots on this board have no idea what they're asking for. I work with guys form A&M, UT, OU, OSU, Wisconsin, BYU, etc...and they think we're insane that this is even happening....along with 99% of the media and the rest of the SEC. Have some fricking perspective.

only thing is an unsubstantiated rumor that joe leaked it to the media he was gonna can les. they just want to blame anyone other than les for LSU's recent failures. in this case alleva is an easy target.

Actually, you sound stupid. This means nothing. Notre dame is highly televised too. Did you watch all of their games?

Do you stupid mother frickers not realize how badly one more year would destroy the program at this point? You think top level recruits will want to commit not knowing who the the coach will be in 2 years?
The monstrosity of next year could be debilitating for a much longer period of time. If you can't get things improved, not turned around, but improved for the OM and AR games with 8 games under your belt there are fundamental issues starting at the top. Yeah, could do like Mack Brown and get rid of the Manny Diaz's on your staff. Where does that get you?
I don't think we have a UT type "country club" going on. The players definitely do NOT indicate that. But what we do have is a lot of "Miles Friends" and "non-Friends" on the staff. He's turned this staff into his personal coaching refugee center. I don't know if we have a split staff fighting behind closed doors, it's possible. Or we may have cliques where they aren't arguing but where Miles' refugees hold more sway than coaches like Frank Wilson and Coach O so they have become either complacent or given up to a degree. There's plenty of evidence of that, butt loads. Both, or other problems, start and end with Miles enabled by his long tenure here. No matter what, the product on the field is all you need to see to know there are indeed some significant staff problems. Another shuffle of one of the highest paid non-HC staffs in CFB isn't going to fix it.
I will agree with you Choctaw that I would prefer to see this happen with more class. However, that's a want and not a need in this business of CFB. But, consider this, it may be Miles fighting this that is forcing Admin and Boosters hand in doing it this way. I mean... Miles could be stubborn right? Have we seen evidence of this before?

I have never understood, nor will I ever understand, how someone who professes to be a fan of the school can so quickly and so completely transfer all of his loyalty to a guy the school hires to work for it, even to the point of hating the school which he supposedly is a fan of.
Les Miles is not LSU. He never was. He was (and is, for at least the time being) an EMPLOYEE of the school. Nothing more. I can understand liking the guy and supporting him and all that, but to literally turn against the school because of some perceived wrong done to an employee is not the act of a loyal fan at all.
What exactly have they done that is indecent or disrespectful? So far, all I've seen is wild media speculation or rants on message boards from frustrated fans, which nobody at LSU can control. The only things I've heard from anyone who is actually involved in this are Weems' comments in support of Miles and Alleva's "no comment". What else would you have them do?
But whatever. You can follow Miles to his next job and pretend to be a fan of that school (or NFL team or whatever) until he gets criticized or even fired again for poor performance. Good luck to you and Les. I'm sure LSU is grateful to you both for your service, and the door is over there.
