And also, you have no point guard. You should probably have a point guard on your all-time team.

he was a good player, but he gets more pub than he deserves because of the teams he played on.

the fact that he is an NBA hall of famer is soley based on the Lakers teams he played on.

Also, if I remember correctly, he was the MVP of the ACC Tournament, the NCAA Regional Tournament, and the Final Four.

I beg to differ...

From Wiki

quote:

Dubbed "Big Game James" by longtime Lakers play-by-play man Chick Hearn, Worthy played in 926 NBA regular season games, averaging 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3 assists per game.[7] He played in 143 play-off games and averaged 21.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game and had a .544 field goal shooting percentage. In 34 NBA Finals games he averaged 22.2 pts per game on 53% shooting. He ranks 5th all-time in Lakers team scoring (16,320), 2nd all-time in team steals (1,041) and 6th all-time in team field goal percentage (.521).

I think that's a little better than just good.

that is a good. Not great. Those numbers are only accomplished because he played on one of the best teams ever.

17/5 is Hall Of Famer numbers?

shite, should we enshrine David West if he has 8 more seasons of the kind of production he is having?

Even though Hansbrough gets away with multiple travels every time he touches the ball, and gets all of the calls, he is still a great player. But I think I would take Perkins over him. And maybe even Worthy too.

When you're playing with the all time leading scorer in NBA history, grouped with the best point guard in NBA history, I think it's pretty impressive to even average 17 when you're basically the third option. Should Scottie Pippen be a HOFer? His ppg is even less than Worthy's but there is a reason for that.

I know this is off topic, but I don't think he'll make it as a pro.

I agree on all that...but why does Worthy not get props because he played with a great Laker team, but Pippen does and yet owes much of his success to Jordan?
