As an Alumnus who contributes to the Tiger Athletic Foundation, LSU Foundation, and LSU Alumni Association I wholeheartedly disagree with that statement.

And the overwhelming majority of us are not upset about the amount. They are frustrated with the method.

some of you people make me laugh.

Im assuming that if everything you spent on LSU went up 25% next yr you'd be fine with it.. thats the attitude you have in these posts.

40bucks to park and 50 for a trailor per game is fricking bullshite,. spin it in way you'd like.

My point is western kentucky will be poorly attended, less concession stand money for lsu.

Less tailgating means less money for local baton rouge economy.

But yes the tickets are already paid for and thats the bottom line LSU cares about.

I figured the first season will be difficult with any big changes like this, but don't you think the methods can be worked out within a season or two?

What I would have to do is make a choice. I either have the money to afford it, work up some solution to break the cost down (which I do now) or DON'T GO. You spin it however YOU want. It costs a lot more to host 180,000 people than it does 92,600. That is fact. Spin away.....................

Why LSU wants to discourge probably the most popular activity that it's fans do is beyond me.

This is a very liberal policy he's trying to enforce.

Very Obama like.

Less people on campus = less people spending money on campus

They up parking from $0 to $40 during a recession.

I was told Bayou Country Superfest was being brought to Tiger Stadium to help out financially in these hard times.

They made 7.7 M last May and will do it again this May.

All these years LSU never had a Bayou Country Fest event and they got by fine. Now there are budget cuts and LSU is expected to take on an additional 1.4M, but they also gain millions from the event.

I am confused as to what makes you and others feel that LSU owes you free parking. It is LSU's land. It is LSU's "spot". If they want to charge, they can charge. shite, people keep talking about whether you do or do not pay at others schools to park, and if so, how much does it cost. You can throw that argument out the window. LSU knows business more than you can ever imagine. They will maximize profits.

If LSU could charge $4000 per game for East Upper tickets, do you think they would do it?

Of course they would. People would bitch and bitch about what other SEC schools charge for similar seats and blah blah blah, but at the end of the day, if LSU can find enough people to pay a price, they will charge that price. Same with parking. If you are naive enough to think that you will lead some organized revolt against LSU tailgating because of a $20 fee, you are insane. The tailgating will go on with or without you. Personally, if the money is a breaking point for you, then LSU games are the least of your worries. You would be better off spending your Saturdays at a 2nd job to make more money because things are so tight for you. Prioritize your life!

What's the point then? I buy from a chevy dealership does that I mean I suddenly own stock in that company? Or be able to make executive decisions? If that's the case when I buy my next truck I'll demand the new model for $5k... We'll see how that works out

I don't like the price increases just as much as The next guy but people who think they are entitled to decisions because they spend money Is Kind of outrageous.

Did I ever say this? You bluntly said: LSU Owes You Nothing.

If that statement were true, then not one single person would donate shite to any of the 3 fundraising arms.

Again, we AREN'T asking for free parking. How many times does this need to be said?

and greatly benefit the local baton rouge economy.

I generally spend $1500 per tailgate. It'll probably be around $600 per game next year.

very, very, very clever way to justify this.

I just assume call it what it is and say they are finding another way to squeeze more money from the hand that feeds them, which is this fanbase.
