For headlines sake they'd like to see Boise ascend to that position. If the Tigers take care of business and defeat a good UGA team on the road much of that talk will die down until the next time they lay an egg.

I agree ... somebody has to be #4 and you can't put us at #25 just because we've played like shite. They've found ways to win ... 4-0 with ugly wins ... the voters put the team there ... not the team.

I think #4-#20 are pretty much on equal footing so far this year. There really arent any upsets between these teams. Its very difficult to judge how legitimate each team is this year.
LSU is 4-0, enough said. Many other "top" teams cant make that same claim after suffering early losses. LSU did what USC could not against Washington. LSU has also looked unimpressive and are not playing up to their potential. So you can sit on both sides of the fence for now.
My take is this. LSU may be playing down to their competition, they may also play up to their competition. We will see. But truth be told, we have the studs and coaches to be an elite team (the #4 team). We have the speed and talent. If we can somehow start clicking, we will be very dangerous. LSU has set their own standard for performance, with their success in the last 10 yrs. Now they must live up to the standard they set for themselves.

Genius media...they rocket us to preseason #11 after finisg last year unranked and then call US frauds for bubbling to #4 when their sweethearts like USC and Okie State choke.
