That's true... just saw score!! Yay for LSU! I'm out in west Texas watching HS softball! I started the program at Snyder HS in 1995 and I've been coming back since we had the 30 year reunion. Good to see some of my former player & now their daughters are playing & i get to cheer for them. Normally I'll have the game on my phone, but too busy tonight. Ill get to watch LSU tomorrow and hope I dont jinx us

Actually, I think it started with the South Carollina series. Winning two out of 3 on the road against a ranked team.

The schedule is set up to make a run at the end, unlike last year when they finished with Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, and Arkansas...all of whom were top 8 seeds.

Auburn is bad. Missouri just swept them at Auburn. I would love to sweep Auburn at home.
Mississippi State away might be tough--their pitching is really good. But their offense is not great. Ole Miss at home should be 2 of 3.
We should have the pitching edge tomorrow if Cellura can throw well. Missouri's 2nd starter has a high ERA in league play.
If we finish 8-4 after the 4-8 start, that puts us at 12-12 where we normally are and in line to host, but at least we would be going into it with momentum this year.

It's a real thing. You can try, but you can't fake confidence. It is something you have on particular days or don't have.
I took a lot of criticism when I was a coach about not being positive enough with my players, but I wasn't the "motivational" speaking type coach. It works for some coaches, but it just wasn't for me.
I was more of the "here is what you need to do to improve" type coach.
Getting back to confidence, a lot of parents would think they if I told the players (mostly girls teams) that they were good, that it would "give them confidence".
I disagreed. I always went back to repetition and seeing your self improve each practice and each game as the key to confidence.

Yeah, they really are playing well that started with the South carolina series. They need to play like this in the post season.
